Your refrigeration circuit should be connected to terminal # 4, as this is the normally closed set of contacts, and the heaters should be powered from terminal # 3 as this is the normally open set of contacts. Hope this helps.

The gears may be binding if the dial will not turn. If this is the case the internam mechanism must be replaced.

You can contact Paragon tech support at 800 445 8299 (navigate to the paragon defrost timers in the automated phone system). They can give you the replace mechanism number and where it can be purchased.

You can contact Paragon (owned by Invensys Controls) Tech support at 800 445 8299 direct. When you call you will get an automated phone system. Navigate yourself to the defrost timer (not standard timers section) to get a tech rep.

I am not sure of your wiring but see no reason that you could not run straight from the breaker to the timer and the timer to the freezer. Determine how long you want the defrost time to be on each hour and set the pegs accordingly. This is if I understand or picture your timer correctly. You have a walk in Freezer, and a rather large box 110 volt timer,correct? The pins on the 24 hour timer wheel can be taken off or moved? If I am wrong, I am sorry. I have the wrong picture in mind.

That unit is not made any longer. I hope that you have shut off the electricity before you started working on it. You may need to remove the whole motor timer assembly from the housing in order to get the time pointer set back into position
