Nelson L R 56610 Electronic Water Timer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I have the Nelson Controller
Are you having power blinks? A real problem in my area. If so, replace the lithium battery inside. A little more hassle to get to than the AA batteries (but not impossible), but quite possibly the problem.

There is a flashing arrow next to "event" and when
I can't be sure without going outside (it's raining) and checking my own controller, but I'm thinkin' that the arrow pointing to "even" indicates that the program will only water on even numbered days. Can you change it so it points to event and "All"?

I have a nelson EZ
It sounds like you have a double program in your system. Suggest you take the battery out for several minutes and then reprogram it. Depending on how many zones you are running, I would shuggest you use the A zone and not do anything to the B and C zones.

Can you give me a simple way to program my system?
Do you have the manual? Just program two zones for the 'A' program. Don't need B and C. Set the time, date and all that, then set the days you want to water to 'On' . Then set the zones you are using like 1 and 2 and put in the amount of time you want it to water, like 30 minutes. That's all there is to it! Let me know... I'll help you.

Nelson turf EZ Pro 8300 one zone does not work, what can I do?
if you have 24 Volts AC on solenoid and the valve does not open, but opens manually, then the valve diaphragm is bad. You can test this by swapping wire at timer with a known good one. If the known good one will not open valve, repair it or better replace it.. I have found that buying a new valve and swapping parts is cheaper than buying individual parts. If you decide to replace diagram when reinstalling screws place screw in hole and turn to left, you will feel screw rise up and then fall, this is position you need to in as the screw will back in the original threads and not cut ones. do not tighten screw fully down and repeat for the remain 5 and the tighten in criss cross pattern
