My Jet JTAS-10XL tilting mechanism locked up when cranking it back to 90 degrees.Does not appear to have any way to free it up. Is it pitch buildup?

I would guess pitch or just saw dust in the gears. I have had on my saw that i cranked it up just a little to much and it locked up on the gear. I ended up taking the blade out and loosened the gears and shaft on the tilting mechanism to relief the pressure. Put it back together and it worked fine.

Jet table saw 3hp, low torque! New saw, correct electrical hook up, but not much power at the blade, so yes it runs but no torque! mag switch in test position, does it need to be in auto???

I am not sure what model you have but they have this saw in two models one is 230 volt only the other is 230/460 volt. But that is not a 220 volt circuit. 220 volt is single phase where the 230/460 is a 3 phase circuit. Look on your motor and see what the power requirement is. if you have a different machine then the one I am looking at I would switch over to the auto function.

Therma Overload Switch

If you have not supplied enough power (like using an extension cord) the motor sees a big voltage drop, starts drawing a lot of current and eventually overheats. Make certain to use a good supply. JET Tools

How do i adjust the blade tilt

There should be 2 handles: height and tilt. Tilt is typically located perpendicular to the blade on the base of the saw.

How do i adjust a jet bandsaw jwbs-9 blade tension

You should check your manual. There's a blade tension handle on my bandsaw, which is adjusted every time I need to change tension or change blade. There ways how to check the correct tension, you can pluck the blade like a string on a guitar and if you hear music not like sound, tension is good. Or you can follow the suggestion blade tension on your saw. or you may also use tension gauge.

My saw boggs down while

Hi,
Does the blade still turn freely?? if not then yes... check the bearings... but if it turns easily then the bearings are okay...

Check the blade.... that wood can take the edge off rather quickly and I would try a new blade next....it may seem to be okay but still not cut well...
