My 1/4 ratchet operates with air applied, without
Most CP ratchets have an oring that seals the trigger valve. You can remove the screw on the top of the trigger and then remove the spring and valve pin. There should be an oring around the bell of this pin. You can probably get away with using any oring that is the same size, and not having to get the exact oring from the manufacturer.

Take some contact cleaner and spray it in the air intake couplin and then plug it into you air line and pull the trigger.be careful not to get sprayed in the face.do this a couple of times them do the same thing with tool oil . if it is dirty most of the time this will solve the trouble.

How do I remove pneumatic staples from furniture.
try a large pair of pliers.
straighten the staples as much as you can, grip one leg with the pliers about 1/8" from the wood, and tap the pliers with a mallet or wood block.
alternate "till you can grip the crown.
