try in av mode with an external signal (like a dvd or homecinema)and if it work you must to change the mode function(maybe is select european mode or something else)

if you put a magnet on the valve you can spin the magnet around and manually open the valve. could be a bad motor, bad sensor, bad board, many things. cycle the powerand see what happens
