Samsung MW1080STA Microwave Oven Questions & Answers
Microwave displaying SE in the display panel, it
An SE error on a Samsung microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad. If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and please do not leave it running unattended.

How to stop my microwave from coming on when door is closed
There are no really user-serviceable parts in a microwave oven.
They are very dangerous to work on. As a result, it takes special tools to even open the case.
I'd just trash it - it might burn your house down.
Replacements are cheap. Even one from a Thrift Store would be better than a potential fire-starter with a mind of it's own!

What does e3 mean on a Samsung microwave
Temperature of exhaust air too
High
Let it cool down?
Cause:
The oven cavity gets too hot due to excessive
operation with no load or small load, or due to
some blocking materials around the Air Filter or
Air Exhaust at the back of the oven.
Remedy: • Open the oven door and check if 1) the oven
has been operating with no load or too small
load, 2) the air filter is placed in a wrong
position, or 3) any blocking materials exist
around the Air Exhaust. Cool down the oven (for
approx. 30 min) under the normal temperature.
The oven is back to normal when the error
code "E3" disappears and "ON" appears again
in the display window.
• Unplug the power cord, remove the blocking
materials around the ventilation openings, cool
down the oven (for approx. 30 min) sufficiently,
plug the power cord in again and check if the
error code appears again.
• If the symptom persists even when the oven is
cooled down sufficiently, contact the nearest
service centre

MY MICROWAVE WILL NOT DO ANYTHING
I couldn't find those exact trouble codes, but a common problem is when the controller gets damp, either from steam rising from the cooktop or someone spraying cleaner directly on the keypad.
Cleaners should always be sprayed on a soft cloth, then wipe the keypad with the cloth.
Also, GE / Samsung codes of F1, F2 and F3 may be the same since Samsung makes GE microwaves.
Those would mean trouble with the temperature sensor, keypad, or control panel.
Assuming your control panel is clean and dry, it may be time to call for service.

I have samsung 1850w CM1929
if you have not plugged out the microwave...then do so now.the trick is that when you plug out the microwave it will reset the microchip.after you have plugged it out ....then you plug it back in after about an hour.if that does not work then it is time to look for a tech to repair your microwave.the problem is that the diode or the cap is bad.

I have the SE code
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
SE or 5E means shorted keypad and to solve this problem the keypad needs replacement, if it has already been replaced then it is better to replace the ribbon cable connecting the board. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

E41 and does not work
If your
microwave is displaying an error code cycle the power to the microwave by either unplugging the unit, or cycling the
circuit breaker.
If the above
suggestion does not work, and the error code returns, your microwave will require service.

The display screen is showing this -SE- I
The -SE-error is a shorted keypad.
If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.
A bad keypad may be worn out due to age, damaged, or it may have gotten wet or otherwise contaminated.
Moisture and contamination can be caused by not using the fan when boiling on the stove top, spraying of cleaners, by storing the microwave in an unheated garage or shed, or infestation.
I warn my customers to never spray cleaner directly onto the microwave keypad, since the liquid can get inside and "lock up" or even ruin the keypad or controller.
Apply an alcohol-based cleaner (such as the purple kind) to a cloth (since paper towels can scratch) and gently wipe it off.
I suggest to my customers that they NEVER use any ammonia-based cleaner (like the blue stuff) on a microwave, since the ammonia will crack and distort polycarbonate plastics.
You can order replacement parts here: http://www.samsungparts.com/search/searc...
If this free advice was helpful a vote on the thumbs up would be greatly appreciated.

We are using MW1080STA 1100w
The best method would be to use a food thermometer to measure the temperature of the food, and change the cooking time to get to the correct temperature.

I have a samsung microwave.
This is a special white enamel paint that is very hard to find, I don't have any personally but the manufacture use to supply the paint to people like myself to do touch up repairs. The only thing I can suggest is hound Samsung for the microwave paint because the magnetron will eventually short out making the oven useless.

How do I replace the light bulb ? \r\nI try to
There is no mention of lamp replacement in the
manual. You should be able to access the lamp IF you unplug the oven and let is sit for 30 minutes or longer before removing the screws. Since there is no info on the lamp, it may be of a type that is not user replaceable (simple push in or screw in type), or is not readily available.
You may end up having to contact Samsung (number is in the manual) to obtain the lamp - or they may not wish to sell to the consumer - which would require a service man perform the work. You'll also need to buy the tool to remove the screws, too. Maybe you can live without the light.. or get it fixed or replaced entirely. A service call may cost more than it's worth.
Good luck!
