What the manual tries to say is that if the touchpad membrane switch aka "membrane" has failed, the control board/panel may have failed.

If it is not one of those then you need to order parts which might not be available for something that old. You need to tell us if it is completely dead or you have display. Could be a fuse inside if you dont have a display. Otherwise they can be dangerous to work on.

Sounds like the switch(es) below the keypad pad(s) are sticking or failing. Unfortunately, replacement keypads tend to be expensive, perhaps too expensive for the value of the oven. Search for replacement parts by your Make and model.

YOu need to lock the time you set and leave the oven connected to power at all times.
