my friend 1st of all which operating sytem install in ur laptop

if u install Vista/ Win7 you must istall their software dell also provide you..

if u use xp then 1st u uninstall their driver then try it... and also check ur cam cable may be its not work properly.....

Just install complate sofware not only the driver, because you installed only the driver you can use the camera.. if you use the camera without program or complate software.you meet some problem... just install complate software thanks

More than likely a defective drive,

Remove the LCD hinge cover and disconnect the cable, see if the issue stops. If it does, then the eject button on the hinge cover is at fault. If the issue continues, boot to the BIOS F2 at boot, see if hte issue occurs there. If it doesn't, there may be a software issue sending an eject signal. If it does, then replace the drive.

This is a Registry Problem and can be fixed by runing error repair pro or any good error repair software. it will scan and fix the registry.

see the driver is installed or not in device manager,,check whether it is detecting or not? if not ou have replkace your web cam

remove battery.
connect ac adapter.
make sure ac adapter led is on.
connect ac adapter to laptop.
check if ac adapter led still on after connection laptop.
turn on laptop then check bios if ac adapter is determined.
check bios as well if it is updated. if not then download the latest bios update from dell support site.
after updating bios charge the batt while laptop is not use. check if changes will happen on the number of charge. make sure you check the charge in bios not in windows.
if charge in bios made changes while on windows still says idle and not charging then reinstall the OS.
if all fails no changes in charge % batt then have the batt replaced.

This is happening because the Dell webcam central is accessing the webcam at the same time as yahoo messenger. Click on start and click on Run(XP), Type MSCONFIG in start search (Vista) and you'll get the system configuration utility. Open it and go to the startup tab. Uncheck anything related to Dell webcam. Click on Apply and OK and restart the computer. If yahoo messenger shows a black screen uninstall Yahoo messenger and reinstall with the more recent version.

Media direct functionality requires that the hard drive be partitioned by the Media direct utility, then windows installed then the Media direct application installation and then the utilities it uses (PowerDVD etc)
if Windows has been reinstalled and things were not done in that order, then the function of media direct will not work.

Search for it in Start->Search. Else Start->Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager. Here locate your device and delete it. Then reboot. Reach the same place again and from the Menu ->Action->Scan for new Hardware. Your device will be reinstalled and you will have it.

Most laptop keyboards are essentially the same.

This could also be a problem with the hard disk. Part of the hard disk is usually used as a virtual memory. If the hard drive is defective, you could experience this kind of failure.
Check your hard disk drive using CHKDSK C: from a command line prompt. Check the outcome of this command. If you find any errors, run the command CHKDSK C: /F to fix the errors. Beware that the second command will prompt you to reboot your computer.

You are having an issue where there are two conflicting programs that are trying to control your Web Cam.
My thoughts is to go into the Control Panel and remove anything that has to do with your web cam. Restart and see if on your boot up if it finds new hardware.
Then I would try to reistall the software again.

Uninstall the webcam drivers and reinstall them...Should get you out of trouble...

Try using an external monitor. If it works with this, the display board may be out. If you can see the faint image shining a flashlight diagonally at the screen, the backlight is burned out. It should be practical to replace the display if it's still a good computer otherwise.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you have a bad motherboard... I've seen this one a few times. There's a very tiny chance the DC jack you're hooking it into is bad (this is soldered onto the board), but more than likely the board itself is bad. Because of how cheap laptops are nowadays, it may be just as cheap to buy a newer (and faster) one than to get a replacement board for that one, if you're out of warranty.
