It may be a hard drive failing, or possibly a BIOS problem. To try and fix it:1. Restart computer2. As it's rebooting hit F2 (some computers use different F keys) to take you to BIOS3. Reset BIOS to default settings4. Press F10 and save/exit BIOS.5. PC will restart, check for error again when it has restarted.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. I used Skype ages ago and returned to it a couple of days ago. No one could hear me. I researched for 20 hours, downloading drivers, checking EVERY setting possible and NOW have got the ANSWER. The wires in the Microphone Array are fatigued. My microphone works perfectly when I tilt my lcd screen half way down. Go to Webcam Manager, Tools, Audio controls, the microphone has 2 bars which go green when you talk into it. Tilt your screen and watch the bars go up and down. Not the answer you probably wanted but as long as you skype with your screen half tilted everything is good to go

1. you may have too many start applications. Clean that by putting in a folder apps you don't need now.2. defrag your HD3. Increase RAM4. clean history, dup. files and folders and clutter like temp files.

There's a loose cable remove the screen surround and tape the wire

Del, F2 or F10 is commonly work the bios enter switch on the laptop and try one by one before on the laptop. when you enter the bios settings then choose the boot and the first boot and choose your cd rom.

you must have blocked downloads, you can reverse this by going into control panel and clicking on network, and changing download settings there. hope this helped from my expereince

you are experiecing with your CMOS battery so:

try taking the CMOS battery out
leaving for 30 seconds
make sure it's all unplugged from the wall
do that first
then press the power button after the 30 seconds
to drain all power
then put battery back in
and plug in and turn on

and if still problem remains then you need to change your CMOS battery.

please test the adapter first, measure the output from the adaper see what is the exactly voltage, and if the voltage is NOT there the problem can be the adapter. Otherwise if there are the problem can be battery. However use the software diagnostic coming with the computer, and use for to test the battery chargin.God bless you
