There is no bulb to replace on a rear projection set. It uses 3 separate picture tunes 1 red 1 Blu and 1 green coupled to magnification lenses that focus onto the mirror which the directs the image thru the screen. Access is usually by removing the trim ring and screen from the front. Access from the back only gains access to the circuit boards. Be very careful as each tube has its own high voltage transformer which can have from 50000 to 150000 volts.

Toshiba 62hm95 makes whirring noise and color is distorted

Your color wheel is going out and needs to be replaced. Toshiba does not list a part# for the color wheel. They expect you to have the whole light engine rebuilt. You should be able to find one on ebay. Or other sites like that. Good luck to you.

I looked at the power board online and I do not see any glass fuses. I only saw the pico fuses which you unsolder and resolder. Here's an image of the power board: http://tvpartsandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/imported/46HM95-TOSHIBA-23764257-POWER-SUPPLY-UNIT-46HM95-52HM95-62HM15A-62HM95-62HMX95-191208846050.jpg What is the problem with this TV? www.aaatvservice.com

My 62 in projection Toshiba tv, has not picture or

please do the following. God bless you
  • Reset component settings. Usually, the problems you encounter with a projection TV may be resolved through the resetting to its factory settings. If you experience inaccuracies in the color, reset the television's PerfectTint/PerfectColor capabilities. Simply press the Menu tab and then highlight "Perfect Color" using your right key arrow. After this, press "Enter" and then "Reset" in order to reset to factory settings. If you have audio / video problems (VCR or DVD player), simply press "Menu" and highlight the "Reset" option.
Reset television controls. In case you cannot fix your TV via its component settings, there are other ways of resetting. Just select "Menu", key in "1, 2, 3", and then press "Enter." In doing this, the TV's manufacturer's specifications will all be restored. If your TV's power system does not function, you should perform a complete system reset. You can do this by clicking on Reset System button located at the TV's control panel. Your television will be turned off and then a green light (LED) will quickly flash for approximately one minute. Once the light has stopped flashing, your TV should immediately turn on.

No picture, siren type noise as restarting

My Toshiba dlp 62hm116 was used for 3 months then stored for 2 years, I turned it on yesterday and it makes a loud grinding noise which I think is probably from the exhaust fan area and the picture is black except white at both vertical sides. It worked fine the last time I used it 2 years ago. Any ideas?

The main digital processor board should be troubleshooted. The work is a skilled one, that a user cannot locate the exact fault point with these boards. Contact any experienced service technician. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electrical shock! Instead, contact the nearest service center.

I replaced the lamp on my toshiba 42HM66

You will need to check if the output supply going to the lamp is good. If not the ballast will need replacement. That model is actually famous for haveing ballast issues. You can get the replacement ballast from www.tvcircuitboards.com they also assist with installation assistance if you require it.

My 62hm95 will not come on now had the bulb replace four months ago worked great then nothig the red led stays on and the green one blinks what do i do now???

Some of these sets have a "quick on" feature which runs the lamp all the time and when set is shut off it dims down 60% but does not go off--this can drastically shorten life of lamp.If you saw the picture at turn on (7 or 8 seconds) you have this feature and it is engaged----that new lamp may be history---I would also look from side/rear to see if lamp fires up even briefly---remove lamp also to make sure not shattered inside.

I have a Toshiba 62

The power board is a good guess as when power was restored a surge likely hit it---if you are able to get at the board look for signs of damage including puffed up filter caps that may have been damaged by the surge.Photo attached is extreme example of bad caps--the silver tops must be perfectly flat and no signs of brown material oozing out at top or bottom--beauty of this is if you see this it is a fairly easy repair and the parts are not expensive.Any caps found that are puffed up even a little are BAD.5_16_2012_4_52_14_pm.jpg
