Did you read the manual about the memory stick duo compatibility of the camera. You can't use all memory sticks from Sony. All Sony cameras are very picky when you talk about compatibility with its own memory cards.
Please help me fix my
Congratulations on being the proud owner of a Sony personal ********. That's what thousands of Sony point and shoot cameras in the T series turn into. You'd think Sony would do the right thing and fix or replace them but sadly, they will only fix them if you pay an outrageous fee. You should complain to them until they give in.
I have Sony Cybershot DSC
If your pictures taken with the camera are seen when downloaded to the PC, the it is sure that the LCD is faulty or damaged.
The presence of vertical lines show that the processor driver to the LCD has failed. You have confirm cost of the new LCD before it can be decided.
My sony vibrates
This problem is so common among Sony owners that I find it hard to believe that all of you haven't formed an army and marched on the headquarters. There would be thousands of you!
You need to complain loudly and often to Sony until they give you satisfaction. Too many owners just give up.
Sony Cyber Shot. Hear something vibrating which
if you alsow get vibrationOn Sony T100 and similar,
its the vibration canceling unit, i had the same problem.
if you have good hads you can fix it.( on your oun risk)
1) disasamble the camera, you will see black plastic box inside, this is he lens unit.
2) on the botom you see 2 scrwes, they are holding the CCD remove them and the ccd unit will come from the lens assembly
3) the next is the stabilizer unit it is the problematic one. it is located on the left side of the lens asebly and is held by 2 screws.
you can test it by puling out the cable connected to it (the conector is just under the lens) and verifign that the problem is solved. ( you can leave it this way it will shoot fine just without the anti shake)
4) to fix it take it out ,remove the plastic cover, you see the lens on a plastic mount it should be glued to the magnet under it. the problem is that the glue fals apart.
remove one of the pins on wich it slides, and take the lens and the magnet out.
5) reglue the magnet and reasemble the camera.
6) power up and test, for me that solved the problem

I shot close to the things that often have blur
The closer you are to the subject, the less will be in focus. This can be a good thing as it can be used to separate the subject from the background. Also, when you get super close, you may need to set the camera in "macro" mode.

Sony t500 digital camera memory stick
I have news for any of you who bought this card. This part number MS-EX8G is fake. The MS-EX card is Sony's newest fastest card on the market as of late 2009. It has a burgundy color face and there are already fake cards that look like it. The black cards and even the red cards have different part numbers.
The new MS-EX cards are only available in 1GB, 2GB,and 4GB capacities currently according to the sony usa website. There are few US sellers who actually have this card right now. It is also available in the phillipines under the same part number and widely available there.
Here are the specs from Sony:
Type: Memory Stick Interface (serial/4-bit parallel/8-bit parallel)
User Memory Capacity: 1GB, 2GB, 4GB (approx)
Write Speed: 40Mbps minimum (when optimized with compliant host
devices) (4-bit parallel); 120Mbps minimum (when optimized with
compliant host devices) (8-bit parallel)
Output Voltage: 2.7V-3.6V
Power Consumption (in Standby): 5mA (max)
Transfer Speed (Parallel Transfer): 480Mbps (60MB/sec) in Parallel Transfer (Theoretical maximum speed)
Average Operating Current (Serial transfer): 65mA (max)
Average Operating Current (Parallel Transfer): 100mA (max) (4-bit parallel); 200mA (max) (8-bit parallel)
Weight (Approx.): 2g
Dimensions (Approx.): 20 x 31 x 1.6mm
The 4GB card has a SRV price of over $100USD but it is available most places for about $75. If you want to confirm the card you purchased as a real card and not fake, you can contact sony and they can help you determine if your card is genuine. If it isn't you can often get a refund from the seller and also can turn them in to your local police, the manufacturer and even your credit card company so they know whats going on.
letting the credit card company helps because if they get enough negative **** from consumers the cc company can suspend or revoke their ability to accept credit cards. chargebacks also reflect poorly on the seller and can get them busted as well.
alerting the police can get them thrown in jail, and alerting the mfg can cost them major fines and jail time as well.
hope this helps and good luck. BTW - dont take my word for this, check it out yourself. contacting sony about this is the best and safest way to make sure you are buying a genuine sony product. dont be a victim.
