Tip

The Default Pin, and unlocking Iridium 9505A/9555

If you purchase an iridium 9505A, or 9555 satellite phone, and minutes, the very first thing that will come up on the screen when you turn on the phone is a command that requests you to enter in a Pin. The Default pin will always be 1111. if you enter in the wrong pin more than three times then you will lock the phone. If that happens. Call the company that you purchased the phone from and request the PUK1 for the sim card number that is in your phone. After they give you this number you will follow a series of commands. It will begin by pressing in **05* . For a complete list of what to do following this, call us regarding what satellite phone model you have, and we will send you the instructions, or one of our support team will walk you through the process. Have you checked to make sure of a couple of things, such as, that your antenna is connected firmly to the back, and of course that you have a clear view of the sky with no obstructions? Just another thing is if when you are making a call does your signal go from 4 bars to 0. if this is the case, it is a hardware issue, and you can have your 9505 iridium satellite phone serviced at our location. Call 877-258-3496. Talk with you later.

I would try rebooting the entire system to make it do a new search for satellites. i am a service and repair tecnician for mainly iridium satellite phones, and mobile Satellite terminals, such as iridium 9505, 9505A, 9500, and 9555 models, or the Thrane & thrane Explorer 300, 500, and 700 model satellite modems. For any of that information contact us at 206-329-1947

When you place a call, does it go from 4 bars of signal to 0. If this is what it happening, then your 9505 satellite phones signalling processor has become out of allignment, and needs serviced. We service all forms of satellite equipment. 877-258-3496

I don't recall if that phone had an external antena but you should check if it is well mounted,if it is not dammaged, rusty and if it had an internal one check for no oily stuff inside. If the antena is not the problem try contacting your operator and ask them if they suport such conectivity since direct satelite connection is expensive!

If you haven't cut your SIM card for iPhone yet, you can take advantage of the SIM card to transfer contacts from Motorola to iPhone. You need to go to your Contacts app and choose Export Contacts to SIM. Then the contacts can be transferred to the SIM card. Now you can cut the card and install it in iPhone, and go to Settings > Mails, Contacts, Calendars, and scroll down to find Import SIM Card Contacts. Now you are able to import the contacts from SIM card to your iPhone.

Another method is using Gmail. Android users can take advantage of Gmail (or other emails provide contacts sync function) to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone. The following tutorial will show you how to do it:
  1. Log in Gmail on your Android phone, and check the "Sync Contacts" option (If you are first time to use this method.
  2. After Gmail Contacts synced with your Android Contacts, you should turn to iPhone, and tap Settings > Mails, Contacts, Calendars, and tap Add Account. Then choose Google, and enter your Gmail account.
  3. After adding Google Account, you can turn on Contacts, and iPhone will ask whether you want to merge with your iPhone contacts. Click Yes and the contacts will be synced to your iPhone.
With the sync function of Gmail, people are able to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone with ease. If you aren't using Gmail on your iPhone, don't worry, you can take advantage of other email services like Yahoo, Outlook and so on.
You can also take advantage of the third-party iPhone transfer software to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone directly. Among all the iPhone transfer programs, iTransfer is regarded one of the best.

The PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) is utilized to reset a blocked SIM card.
  • For Postpaid accounts, you must obtain the PUK via the My Verizon website before proceeding.
  • For Prepaid accounts, contact customer service to obtain the PUK before proceeding.
  1. Ensure your Androidâ„¢ smartphone / tablet is powered on.
  2. From the keypad, enter the 8-digit PUK then tap OK.
If an invalid PUK is entered too many times, the SIM card is permanently disabled.
  3. Enter a new SIM PIN code (4 to 8 digits) then tap OK.
  4. Re-enter the new SIM PIN code then tap OK.
