Hello
Plug the Siemens dishwasher into a working electrical outlet if nothing on the dishwasher is operating. Check the household circuit breaker or fuse and reset or replace as needed.
Push the door closed fully if the dishwasher has power but isn't starting. The unit will not operate if the door is open.

Take the control board out, open it up, and resolder the heater relay or replace the control. It may be under the recall and you can get a new control replaced for free.
Dear dishwasher Guru! I have a built in Siemens
If you have hard water, glasses can look spotted and cloudy even after cleaning. Sometimes changing the dishwasher detergent can help. The easiest solution to clearing up glasses that start to look cloudy is to add some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle. Simply add 1/4 of white vinegar and it will clear up your glasses very well.
You should see marked improvement after the first time you do this. If they are not crystal clear then simply repeat the process until all of the cloudiness is gone. In fact I recommend to using a little vinegar in each cycle to maintain the clarity of the glass.
Note: you can pre-test this by rubbing some vinegar on an individual glass with a cloth. If you cannot remove the cloudiness by soaking it and rubbing vinegar on it then it is possible that the glass is etched due to harsh or cheap dishwasher detergent and vinegar will not solve the problem.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Check continuity to the door switch if that appears to be fine
then it is the control panel that has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment
for further assistance.
Thanks

Not starting wash cycle
Typically this means that there has been a water leak of some sort and there is water in the lower base pan. This is the large white plastic base that the dishwasher sits on.
If you remove the toe kick and look back past the fill valve on the extreme left side of the dishwasher about 6 to 8 inches from the front you will see a red stick that goes straight up and down. This is a mechanical linkage that activates the drain feature. Be careful as there are live connections here.
This stick rests on a round piece of Styrofoam that acts as a float. If there is water present it will cause the stick to lift and the dishwasher will go into drain. The source of the leak will have to be isolated and corrected. Most likely it is the fill float assembly as referenced at the end of this post.
If the stick is not in the upright position then there is possibly an issue with the switch mechanism itself.
You will have to pull the dishwasher out from beneath the cabinet and remove the panel covering the left hand side. If it is a full panel then there are a couple of screws holding it on from the front through side trim as viewed when the door is open if it is a half panel then it can be removed by removing the large torx screw on the lower right as seen when facing the panel.
If there is a problem with the switch then the entire mechanism should be replaced.
Try the following link to a picture for reference. It is upside down as compared to the installed one:

I had a problem with a clog in our garbage disposal drain pipe. The pipe was cleared up but subsequently the dishwasher is not functioning. When the door is opened and the on/off button is pushed the motor automatically starts running without a cycle being selected. Also, there doesn't seem to be any water getting into the washer. It is a siemens SL84A302UC-01 It was working perfectly the day before. Can you help me?
