Mower deck spindle replacement
first take the blade off the spindle, then take the belt off the top, now there should be a nut on the top of the spindle you will have to remove that nut once you get that one off the pully will come off the spindle, now you will have to remove the bolts holding the spindle housing to the deck, put the spindle housing in a vise, put the nut back on the top of the spindle so that if you mass the threads with the hammer you are going to hit it with them you can fix them with the nut by taking it off again... now you have the nut on the top of the spindle and its in the vise, now hit the spindle to knock the bearing out of the bottum once you push the bearing out, you can remove the spindle out the bottum, now flip the housing over and take a punch and push the other bearing out if you are going to replace the bearings when replacing the spindle, i would reconend it... if you need anything else just xomment and ill repost...
good luck

Your blades engage with a cable and the cable somewhere is bunched up. You will probably need a new cable.
Where is the safety switch to engage the blade
Your lawn tractor will have a lever that raises and lowers the mower deck which houses the two cutting blades. By lowering your mower deck to the desired cutting height, the blades should automatically engage. By raising the deck back to it's highest position, the blades will automatically disengage. Should be simple enough. You can consult your mower manual. If you don't have one, you can easily find it online using the make, model and year of the lawn tractor.
Blades will not disengage on lawn tractor
Your cable clutch is not engaging properly. Try to lubricate it with some grease. This will get the cable to slide. If that does not help, it will need to be replace.
Cuts lawn uneven, one side shorter than other
Was it cutting uneven before you changed blades? If so, you may not have gotten the blade on the shaft correctly. There is an adjustment in the center of the deck hanger on each side. You can turn the 9/16 nut up or down on each side to level it out.
