I have a tr250 nobody can show the loading part

I suggest you visit your local hardware store (Ace/Westlake) or you can try EBay, I've found numerous parts at great prices on there and they will usually designate what they will work with. Hope this helps. In the future, remove the material from your gun while keeping it stored, as this will weaken your magazine feed spring.

Staple gun jammed after falling into water puddle

Remove the magazine and shake out all excess water from the tool. WD-40 is merely for Water Displacement, hence the name WD-40. You need to lubricate with shop grade oil. Inspect the driver head to make sure the surface is flat and free of dings or nicks. In order for your tool to work properly it needs to be able to feed without interruption, and the driver head needs to be able to move back to **** and forward to fire without hinderance. After insuring that all parts are in proper working order, reassemble, load, and fire. This should fix your problem 90% of the time. If not, then check the magazine spring to make sure it is delivering a strong drive to the loaded staples or nails, if not, you need to either use more of either to put more pressure on the spring, or you need to replace the spring all together.

My stanley model tr 250 seems to be jammed up and

Generic comment.

There should be a pin or a screw (probably with a locking nut) on the business end of this machine. Find it, remove it and the track should pull down allowing you to clear the jam.

I hope this helps

How to insert fasteners

Already posted in response to a similair question, however repeated here to close off open query!

I bought one of these guns today and I had the same problem and it took me about 2 hours to figure it out as the instructions were very poor. Here how to load the brad nails:-

(a) Pull the slider bar all the way out
(b) Place the brad nail stick on the left side, IN FRONT OF the slider, NOT in the narrow gap in front of the two arrows where it says "LOAD BRADS"
(c) The nail heads should be facing the handle of the gun
(d) Close the slider and lock it
(e) Try it out. I tried nailing hardboard onto chipboard. The lever at low power only put the nail in about 30%. On Hi power it went in about 80%.

Good Luck

Tr250 does not drive brad nails all the way down.

Jason,

I think this is typical of these staplers/nailers. I bought a lighter model Stanley the first time and had this problem. I took it back and exchanged it for the heaviest Stanley they had at Home Depot and had the same effect. It drove the stapler a little deeper but not all the way.

I did find that if I put all the down pressure on the stapler right on the edge where the staple comes out and then pull the trigger it would drive the staple almost all the way in. I think that there is a recoil effect (like with a gun) when you pull the trigger and the staple enters the wood. Try this. it will help.

Hope this helps Good Luck Loringh PS Please leave a rating if appropriate Thanks for using FixYa

I have a Stanley professional 69-500 I put the Staples in and the handle will not release all the way down what could be the problem

Double check your using the correct size staples, there are a lot of different sizes and types out there. I've made that mistake. The most common reason is that it has jammed on a staple. remove the staples and the rod that holds them in place. See if the stapler will work when empty. Keeping you hand away from the trigger arm Carefully look to see if there if a staple jammed in the release slot. Sometimes you can clear jams with a small, flat blade precision screwdriver.
