You have unloosen the bolt slightly that holds the armature to the engine and since they are tappered fit put a piece of wood on the nut and hit the center with a hammer.

The gap is .010. You can also use a card to gap the coil and after you tighten the coil and remove the card turn the flywheel by hand one revolution to make sure the magnet does not rub on the flywheel.

That is not possible. The oil and fuel systems are seperate. It is possible that the floar on the carb is stuck and fuel drained from the tank to carb, then into the crankcase.

The needle valve on the carbureator float is stuck open or has a little debris stuck in it. You will have to take the bowl off and clean out the seat for the needel valve. A Qtip or small wooden dowel works best.

check your eingine compression, sounds like it is worn hence the rough idle and loss of power under load

if the piston rings have snapped. as they can do. it can lock the piston in place. and you will need to bore out a piston bore and put in a sleeve and new piston. worst possible thing is the crank has snapped. other possible is the generator motor has seized up making it so the engine will not move.

if theres gas in the tank and fuel line to the carb,then the needle and float valve is gummed up in the sediment bowl below the carb
