Double check your brush istallation. positive side toward rotor bearing, if you put 12 vdc directly into brush pack and check with a meter at the 120 vac outlet and have low or no voltage, you may have no resistance in your rotor slip rings, excitor & main windings also need a resistance check. 12.6-16.7 ohms (rotor) 2.26-2.80 ohms (excitation) .26-.32/.28-.35 main or power windings. Note: unit running when appling 12 volts to brush pack. 2-5 second only, ( This test tells you the rotor & stotor are ok )

Not sure what you mean by "plugnit into circuit"
This is a stand alone unit into which you plug the devices that you wish to power. It should have standard recepticls for your devices.
If you are talking about attaching it to your residence, that will require a cutover switch that will disconnect the outside hydro source while the generator is plugged in. That's a job for a certified electrician.

There is no such thing as "remagnatized" thats horrible and stupid advice. Your engine once started turns an alternator, which that produces electricity. Check all wiring connections first, if everything looks okay, you may need to replace the alternator.

if your plug and outlet are 4 blade, two blades will be flat, the black will connect to one flat blade and the red will connect to the other flat blade, makes no differance to which, the white will connect to the middle blade with a silver color screw terminal, the others will always be brass in color!,the green will connect to the blade that is either "L" shaped or round.looking at the male plug from the blade side it looks like a crows foot, top left blade will be at 11 oclock, right blade will be at 1 oclock, these two are critical, one must be black the other must be red, center is white, other is green. good luck.

It is possible that while the bike was laying down that oil or fuel entered the cylinder and is now causing a hydro-lock. With the spark plug out, pull the crank a lot of times. Check to see if fluid comes out of the spark plug hole. Also check to see if the plug is wet or damaged. If you can, look into the cylinder with a light.

You need a manual so you can check the rpm, brush gear, circuit and check the rotor is receiving enough current to produce the rated output.

Midwest USA... A working generator in good running condition should sell for around $0.05 a watt +-, so 7500x0.05= $375. Excellent condition add a penny. NOS add another penny.

A working generator in poor condition 3 cents/watt.

A generator that doesnt work, i.e. engine doesn't run or engine runs but no electrical power is $0 to $50. Repair costs of some generators cost more than a new one.

As for operational status, the typical shop vacuum makes a handy load tester. The shop vac load along with a "Kill A Watt" power monitor will provide an independent voltage and frequency analysis.

Be sure to plug the vacuum into every outlet and if any outlet doesn't work consider the unit non-working.
