Porter Cable Cable 12800 Riptide Saw Blade: 7-1/4", 18-Tooth, RightTilt, Thin Kerf Questions & Answers
Cable is plugged in but picture is fuzzy, what do
You have a rip saw that has a cable with a fuzzy picture?
If this is a cable TV question, two things come to mind ... TV is out of adjustment or you have some ground wires touching your center conductor on your RG-59 or RG-6 cable (or just came to mind - you have split the signal so many times there is no signal).
You can use a cable tester to test the quality of the cable ... you can cut off the ends and replace them. More likely than not, unless you have pro tools and ends (F fittings) you will not get much improvement from this. If you are guilty of multiple splitters in the line, reduce the number of splitters.
If this is a saw question, I dont understand your trouble.
Porter Cable Brad Nailer - Firing without pressure
The nose tip is most likely stuck in the ready to fire position from too much force being applied when nailing. These guns are small and sensitive to forces being applied. Try bumping it to see if the nose tip is retracting and compressing with each bump. Unplug and unload the gun before trying to pull the tip of the nose to retract if it is stuck. Check for foreign objects obstructing the trigger and safety mechanism
Is a porter cable fr350 the same as fr350a?
The fr350a is completely different from fr350. The fr350a is completely modernized framing gun as compared to the retired version. I do not like repair kits because you are replacing parts that are still good. Instead replace parts as needed. If you state the issue you are having I may be able to recommend the actual part needed. If however you do not have any major air leaks, a lube job will make the gun work great. Use white grease or nail gun oil. Good luck with your repair.
New trigger valve leaked air and gun won’t fire. I have replaced the trigger valve twice and the problem is the same on both new valves. Porter cable FR350a.
I find that the trigger valves in these guns are reliable and that most problems with random fire is lack of lubrication and adjustment of the safety foot. Assuming that air does not leak when you connect air supply and leaks from trigger when attempting to fire. This indicates a lack of lubrication of the head valve. Remove the head valve and lube with white grease.
Test the gun, of ok then you are done. If no joy, then check safety foot for adjustment. How to test if the safety foot is the problem.
Remove the nails, remove the trigger leaving exposed the trigger firing pin. Adjust air supply to 100 psi and connect to gun.
Assuming no leaks quickly depress the trigger valve pin all the way in. If the gun fires then the problem is with the safety foot and or the actual trigger is not pushing the firing pin all the way in when attempting to fire. Make adjustments accordingly. Good luck with your repair.
