Senco FP18 FinishPro 18 - Gauge Brad Nailer, 5/8" - 2" Questions & Answers
Senco Finishpro18 just stopped shooting nails.
I just had the same problem with mine. Exact same symptoms. My guess is that your gun hasn't been used in a while.
I called Senco and they recommended removing the top cap, removing all o-rings (one at a time) gently stretch them, put a small amount of lithium grease in the o-ring track, and replace the o-rings. This fixed my problem and I hope it fixes yours!
Senco has awesome tech support for their tools. I will not buy another brand because of their support. 800-543-4506
Air leakage from bottom & no return
The internal workings of a pneumatic nailer are fairly simple and easy to diagnose problems. If you go to Senco's website at
www.senco.com, you can find a breakdown of what parts are where inside your nailer. Remove the four bolts holding the cap on and check the condition of the o-rings inside the gun. They are the most likely failure point for your tool. Senco does make repair kits that contain all the wear items in your nailgun. It will be listed on the parts breakdown and can be bought at most online parts stores or places like eBay and Amazon.
Missing every second nail
2 possibilities1 trigger valve needs replacement, piston not fully retracting every time2 feeder spring needs replacement, less likely but possible
I was trimming a house
If you diodn't replace the driver look at it. there might be a burr on it or also one where it slides in and out. Sometimes if it jams a nail or a piece came off of one it will lodge there and cause problems. This has happened to me in the past.
Looking for a diagram or schematic for a senco
I have a SENCO FinishPro18 that I inherited from my son when he died a year ago. It has worked fine till now. It does not shoot a nail when depressed against a board and I pull the trigger. I don't hear air leaking, but it seems there is little pressure. Having taken apart the head, then the base, it all seems in good shape. I have not taken apart the trigger assembly, as the removal is a total commitment. Thoughts? I could use some help.
Senco Finishpro18 just stopped shooting nails.
Do you regularly use air-tool oil placed in the air connection? If it gets a good workout every day, buy an 'inline' oiler that is inserted into the air line which automatically takes care of oiling. Hope this helps!

My Senco FramePro 602 will not shoot at angles
You can check a few things to identify the problem if your Senco FramePro 602 nail gun is not shooting at angles:
Make sure the depth adjustment is adjusted appropriately for the material you are dealing with and the nail size by checking it.
The cannon may not be able to fire at an angle if the depth adjustment is set too high.
Verify the air pressure: Ensure that the nail gun's air pressure is set properly.
For the FramePro 602, a pressure range of 70 to 120 PSI is advised.
The nail gun may stop working if the air pressure is too low.
Examine the magazine for any jammed nails that might be stopping the rifle from shooting properly. If you find any, remove them.
Make sure the magazine is free of any debris and unblock any nails that are stuck.
Verify the angle adjustment: Ensure that the nail gun's angle adjustment is correctly set for the angle you intend to utilize.
The FramePro 602 is capable of firing at 21-degree and 28-degree angles, so make sure that the angle adjustment is set to the appropriate level.
