I have an HP Pavilion a6200n. Takes several tried to turn the computer on.

Well I recommend you to contact HP first they have the part numbers and stuff and they can help for quiet a low fee per service, because if you go over a computer store they probably will sell you a generic one and probably it will not fit.

Hard drive will not turn

Discconect the computer from the power outlet. Open the case, take the RAM out of the slot. Wait 15sec, reinsert the RAM, Now try to restart the computer. If this does not work, my guess is that the power supply is malfunctioning. And it needs to be replaced.

My HP a6200n won't connect to the internet. it

directly connect the dsl modem to your pc and then restart your system. once your up and running the pc should automatically create a connection with the modem device. once you have established an internet connewction this way, shut down the system and reboot. after complete bootup, unplug the power supply cords to both the modem and the router. now plug im the modem, wait 1 minute and plug in the router. after about a minute you should now be able to connect to the internet both by your pc and wireless connections.

HP pavilion a6200n cd not recognizing any CD/DVD

There are three possible reasons for this, the first one is that, your CD/DVD lens might have become weak, and therefore might need to be changed, or if its just dirty, you might just need a lens cleaner.
The second reason is that, it might be that the CD you are trying to read is bad, dirty, or not properly burnt...in this case, you might need to clean the surface of the CD properly then re-insert it.
The third reason is that, your CD/DVD Drive might be having a conflict within the OS. What I would suggest in this case is that, Power up your system, then when the system boots, just right click on my computer, then properties, then select the hardwares tab, then click on device manager.
When you get to device manager page, try and locate DVD/CDrom Drives, then click on it, if your drive is there, then just right-click on it, and select uninstall, and after this, on that same page, click on 'Actions', and select "Scan for hardware changes". But if its not there. Just click on the "Actions, and Then select "Scan for hardware changes".
This should automatically place your CD/DVD drive back inside your My Computer page. After this, try the CD or DVD again.
Hope this helps you out.
Goodluck!

Hp pavilion a6200n/2-beeps/shuts down

2 beeps should indicating be a memory error. If you are comfortable with doing minor things you should be able to confirm and fix this. If this unit is still under warrenty this is definitly something that is covered. Make sure that you know if it is covered before you open the case. This can possibly void warrenty if the seals are broken.

To check you need to open the case and then remove all but one memory module. Then reboot and see if it works. If not you need to swap out that memory module with a differant one. If one module has gone bad it will cause the error and stop it from booting. As soon as the bad one is out then it will start. Just replace it with the same type. This is a good excuse to upgrade and put more ram in. it is cheap right now and really helps for stability in windows and speed.

To remove the ram module there is a clip along each side. You push these aside and the module will tilt at and angle then it will slide out of the connector. To putit in there is a notch s it only fits in one way. You place it in the connector and then give it a little back and forth wiggle and then push it so the locks on he edge snap ito place. The wiggle movement is a little trick to make sure it is in the right place and making good contact.

I would like to request to have my computer to be

We here can't tell you if you still have a warranty. You would need to check your sales receipt for the purchase date, then check the manufacturer's warranty information either online or in the materials that came with the computer. It's unlikely the manufacturer would pay for a warranty repair, though, unless a hardware problem causing your computer to run slowly.

The simplest solution is to back up your personal data, then restore the original factory software from the CD set (if one was supplied) or from the restore partition on the hard drive (if present). Consult the user's guide for your computer for the applicable procedure. Then make sure you install antivirus and antispyware applications and keep them updated.

If you don't want to restore the computer, try the basic housekeeping steps (cleaning up temporary files, defragmenting the hard drive, etc.) and do scans with current antivirus and antispyware programs. This may help. Most computer repair shops offer this kind of service at reasonable rates if you aren't sure how to proceed.

Unable to save my word documents when I click on save

If it was truely a shortcut and was deleted, the data is still in the folder on the hardrive (c:) and can be accessed with the file manager or exploring the c: (root) drive. once you find it , right click on it , select "make shortcut, then drag the shortcut to your desktop.
If it was a folder (not a shortcut) on your desktop that was deleted, you should be able to find the folder in your Recycle Bin and select it and click on RESTORE and that should put it back where it was .
If it was a folder and deleted and the recycle bin was emptied, it is lost unless you pay someone HIGH dollar to retrieve data from your harddrive that was deleted.
Hope this fixes ya up , post again if you need further assistance.
Regards..

CD/dvd drivers missing or malfunctioning

Sounds like you have and Upper and Lower Filter issue in the registry.

Listed below is the link for the MS document on how to fix this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929461

IMPORTANT
I suspect you did not complete all the steps in the document. In the document you need to delete the upper and lower filters in the registry and DELETE the burning software you added, shut down and then reinstall the software. This is often difficult for users since they have no idea what app is causing the problem.

With iTunes, make sure you are using the latest version. Older versions caused this upper and lower filter issue among other burning apps.

In some extreme cases you must uninstall and reinstall ALL burning software on your PC. This is easy on an HP. Delete the SW from Programs and then use Recovery Manager C:\PC Help and Tools\ etc..,. to run Application Recovery. You can only install one app at a time. Shut down between each install and check if your drives show up in Device Manager and burn.

Following the process above (installing one app at a time) will allow you to find out which app you added is causing the problem.

All the HP apps on the PC work fine as the PC is tested for issues like this. Something was added that over-wrote the Upper and Lower filters, essentially corrupting them so your ODDs don't work or don't even show up in Device Manager.

Good luck
