Gumtree Paypal scam I searched and found an example of similar scam with the same Chinese shipping $950.00 request. " Also an email from [email protected] with similar message. I went along with it to see how they would get the money out of me and after a few emails between one anther he told me he paid me through paypal and that they will email me soon. I got the email from address and title [email protected]. <[email protected]>. they told me they will not realse payment unless i pay the shipping first of $950 to Name Yujiao Yue Address City:Dongba Zhong lu Beijing :Beijing 100027 China. Also this was in the email from "paypal" Note: * As this transaction was done via our e-mail payments service, any inquiries and necessary information should be sent to us by directly replying to this message, because of the status of this transaction, it has not been passed on to our customer care phone service section and all inquiries should be directed to this e-mail address as it is the one monitored for your transaction. * If there's any refusal from you to act upon the receipt of this payment notice, we will have to take a LEGAL ACTION against you as this is just a way to ensure PayPal a safer place for all our customers. Have you tried contacting PayPal directly ... by phone or email to have them help you with this question ? You can get PayPal's contact info from the PayPal home page ... look for and click on the "Help & Contact" link at the left end of the very bottom of the page. Then click on the "Contact Customer Service" link on the next page (top right) .... to bring get more info/options on how to contact PayPal. On my NorthAmerica PayPal webpage, the PayPal Customer Service number provided is:

Hmmm if i was in your shoes, i would cancel the CC or credit card right away and get a new one and check for any foul play. Immediately!

If you purchased it with PayPal, you can always get your money back. PayPal is better than my bank! Just log in to paypal, find the transaction and click on it...then go the bottom of the page, and click the link to the resolution center and follow the steps. (image attached)
