You can turn the power on, and hit the spin speed button, and then start it. It should drain out.
If your still getting an LE error, and already have replaced the Hall sensor, it's most likely the Stator. If you know your date of purchase, this is most likely still under the 7 or 10 year warranty. Meaning LG pays for the part (over $100.00+),

I have an LG washer that is about 10 years old.
Your guess seems right as the damaged zipper could be stuck within the drum or movement and could cause friction to the movement. You can remove power and try to check on the free movement of the drum, if not the drum assembly must be removed and reset.

How to Replace Bearing Ball on a LG Front Load
The rear half of the outer wash drum (which contains the rear bearing and tub shaft seal) needs to be replaced. On a 1 - 10 scale, this rates a difficulty rating of about an 8. An experienced appliance tech can do it in about 2 hours, and hit you up for about $500. I do not suggest this as a do it yourself repair. Did you know that the new LG machines use a balance ring to make them much smoother running? (Hint: It may be wiser to replace the machine.)

Tub will not drain water
Open the small door at the bottom of the machine, left. pull plug from hose, it will drain about a cup of water. Then unscrew the filter and clean debris.

My washer does not complete the cyclo and show an
This is an unbalanced condition error code and it flashes when the machine gets unbalanced particularly during the spin cycle due loads not being distributed properly. Loading the machine with non-distributable loads may trigger this code. Another reason is the leveling of the machine which can result in the vibration of the machine that triggers the ball sensor located at the base of the near one of the rear shock absorbers. The ball sensor is at fault if the UE code flashes even the machine is balanced and not vibrating.
Underloading the machine may also trigger the EU code since if the load is too small, the machine cannot distribute it evenly. Check the shock absorbers for damage if the machine vibrates violently even with a balanced load.

My LG WM052HW front load
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
(If these actions have not cured the problem, it could be the control board OR the main motor. Motors will show weaknesses when commanded to spin.)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

LE normally means Lock Error but that should not affect drainage. Try the following for the drainage problem. If LE continues to be shown it will require a service call ;-0(

Need to check the drain pump area located on bottom of unit,, either something is in drain pump or hose that connects to drain pump. if all that looks ok then you most likely have a faulty drain pump assembly....

Started a new wash, started
it sounds like there may be a problem with either the control board or the drain pump itself... is it giving you any fault codes at all... you may want to check drain pump on this unit which is located on the front side and requires removing lower panel of unit...check for any obstructions as if unit cannot drain or pump will shut down control assembly... if that looks good then the control board may be faulty unplug unit for a couple of minutes and plug back in sometimes this will reset controller.... repost if anymore questions one of us will be glad to help you out....
