I need to remove the back panel on my lg dryer but

A DLE2532W has a rear control panel. To remove the top, use a putty knife to push the retaining clips in at the seam where the top meets the front panel. 2 clips, about 2 inches in from the L and R side, then the top swings up. Heating element is accessable after you take the front panel off.

My dryer won't heat anymore,

It could be the heating element, but it could also be the thermal switch, a round button that can sense the heat. One of the wires that go to the heating element go through the thermal switch. It's held on by two screw and is an easy repair.

POSSIBLE THAT THE ELEMENT THAT CONTROLS THE HEAT IS BURNT AND THAT IS WHY IT IS TAKING SO LONG TO DRY THE CLOTHES

When I set the dryer to Heavy Duty and Very Dry

Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance.
Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct. If it looks clogged and you can't clear it using your vacuum.

My dryer will not dry my clothes. it gets hot but

check the vents good,, inside and outside of your home,, then check and make sure your vent hose is not kinked,, if all is good take the vent off the back of the dryer and start it , make sure the air is coming out good and hard,,, if it is then try to run it for a load without the vent on it( it will get warm in the room its in and it might get alittle dusty) if it dries like it should it is something in the vent,, if not get a service tech to check it out,, dont pay for a service tech to clean out your vent that is why you check the vents real good,, the outside gets clogged up more than the inside

It take 3 hours to dry one load.

first you need to check your vent,, just looking down the hose wont help you turn it on and go outside to see if it is blowing( most of them get clogged on the outside screen) make sure your hose is not kinked,, if you are not sure take the hose off and run it, they will be lint flying around, but you will be able to tell if it is going to dry good,,, if all of that doesnt fix it, it may be your heating element or the auto sensor,, if you open it now and you get alot of wet heat in your face it is the vent

No heat in the dryer

unplug dryer...The reset switch is between two wire leads that go to the thermostat and you will probably shock yourself if you try to push the button with the power on. If you open up the right side access cover on the dryer, then you can see the exhaust tube. It is about 5 inches in diameter and (looking through the right side access port), it will be sloping up from left to right as it runs from the front of the dryer to the back. You can see another exhaust tube further away from the port and lower down, but the one you are looking for is closest to you and higher up. If you look back toward the front of the machine (left), you can see two wires hanging down from the opposite side of the exhaust tube. The wires run to the thermostat which you can also see on a bracket standing off the exhaust tube. In between the two wire leads that run to the thermostat is the reset button.pull off right access port cover, look in and left for thermostat hanging down off of exhaust tube. Press button between the two wires going to thermostat. It is a 3 minute operation if you can get to the right side access port.

Dryer heat does not turn on after replaciong

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Check to make sure you are getting full 220 Volt power to the dryer, if you are then:
Check your Wiring
Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. If this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached.
Check the Door Switch
If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed. If not replace the door switch.
Check to make sure you heating problem is not a lint build up in the discharge hose or the dryer,as this condition can cause heater/thermistor problems such as overheating of the heating coil leading to failure of the coil and burnout of the thermostat/thermistor due to overheat.
Remove the back/or front just under the door of the machine and try to locate the air duct going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside/outside the air duct you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistors. Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
If the heating coil is ok, then:
You can check the thermostat/thermistor one at a time by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape and running the dryer to check to see if the element is red or not,
or with an ohm meter check the two terminals of the thermostat/thermister
after you have removed the wires, the thermostat/thermistor should have/show continuity across the terminals.
If the coil heats up, or the thermostat/thermistor shows an open circut
then replace the thermostat/thermistor as it is defective.
If it overheats the dryer will not operate properly.
It's located on the blower housing.
It cannot be reset. A vent clogged with lint can cause it to overheat.
You can test it with an Ohm meter/continuity checker, if no continuity,
replace it)
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST.
This could cause a FIRE, as you have removed the safety of overheat from the machine.
Right after replacing a dryer element, always run the dryer on 'air fluff' / 'no heat', and go outside to verify there's plenty of air coming out your vent system.
If the vent's clogged, that new element can burn out very quickly.
