LG DLE2532W Electric Dryer - Page 2 Questions & Answers
How to replace heating element unit
It should be a coil pack right on the back of your unit. You will know it by the replacement part or by the coils of wire in the heating element. Remove the vent hose power and the back of the dryer. about 15 screws hold on the back and about 3 or 4 hold on the heating element. Disconnect the wires and then the element housing. Replace and you are done. Test it before you put the back on it again. The other thing, while you are in there clean out everything you can and cannot see. Trust this from a guy that has had a dryer fire.
Blowing but no heat
The problem needs to be identified as it could be one of 4 problems.
The Thermal fuse needs to be checked firstly as this prevents overheating of the dryer.
If it is OK check the continuity of the heating element with an Ohm meter, check also whether there is a reading present, meaning it should not read zero Ohms.
Components that do not commonly cause this problem are the High Limit Thermostat and the Main Control Board.
If the first 2 checks are fine, check the thermostat to see whether it is "open" (Not giving a reading on an Ohm meter) if so, replace.
The main control board very seldomly causes this problem but it does not rule it out.

Display says "Drying" but nothing happens
If you can get in to the front of the dryer..down at the bottom..you will find a little white fuse with 2 wires going to it..that would be the thermal fuse...you can put those 2 wires together just to bypass the fuse then turn on...but make sure you dont leave it bypassed,,cause its there for a reason
