The bottom of my refrigerator remains warm despite turning the knob to MAX.

If it's frost free check that the fan is running in the freezer section. If ice is causing it to stop then it your defrost control that is causing the problem

My refrigerator doesn't seem to be cooling

:
Hi!
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
It does a lot of clicking (trying to start over and over again)
If thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
I use part no ERP410 POWER START RELAY, CAPACITOR AND OVERLOAD all in one. (110 v)

Im getting water under the vegetable drawer inside

Hi boris_sal495,

There are two things that you can check if you are getting water under the vegetable drawer. Kindly refer on the details below:

Reminder:Before doing any checking or repair unplug the refrigerator from power and remember your safety.

1. Clear the Drain Tube - Your refrigerator has a drain that leads to the exterior drain pan beneath the refrigerator. Occasionally this drain can become clogged resulting in standing water inside your refrigerator. The drain is located either on the floor of the refrigerator, beneath the vegetable crisper, or in the wall behind a drain funnel.
Clear the drain by forcing a solution of water and bleach or water and baking soda into it with a basting syringe. If the solution will not flow through, slide a length of 1/4 inch or smaller flexible tubing into the drain tube to push the clog through to the drain pan. Remove the tubing after clearing the clog.

2. Leveling a Refrigerator - It is important for the refrigerator to be level.Check that the refrigerator is level from side to side.If it is not level, adjust one or more of the adjustable leveling feet until it is level. The feet are bolts that can be turned to raise or lower the refrigerator. If they cannot be adjusted with your fingers, use a crescent wrench or pliers.
If you have an ice-maker, it should also be checked for level after first leveling the refrigerator. An icemaker that is out of level will spill water into the ice bin or into the freezer. It can be repositioned by loosening the mounting screws, adjusting it for level and then tighten the screws.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

There is water that is freezing inside the bottom

In the bottom of the freezer there is normally a plate you can remove and expose the drain. It is probably clogged, just use a wet dry vacuum to clear. Also debris is sometimes to blame.

When you close the door, the air pushed in by the door has to do somewhere, so it may momentarily pop the other door. As long as it closes right away by itself, no problem.

Not getting cooling , no light , door not locking

You may want to try the simple things first. There are proably cooling coils underneath the Ref. Which if not clean often can lead to no cooling problems. Remove front lower panel (proably just pulls off) you will then see cooling coils which will have lots of dust etc collected in it. Best thing to clean with is a vacumn cleaner using a crevice tool. Be careful don't use shrp object.

Some sort of irratating smell comes out of lg

Hi Kalpana_bhar,

Seems like your refrigerator has an unpleasant odor. There are several ways on how to remove irritating smell out of your machine, first thing is to remove spoiled food and then clean the door seals. Here are some steps that you can apply to get rid of unpleasant odor.

Remember you safety, please unplug your machine or disconnect the unit from the power outlet before conducting any repair.

1. Remove spoiled food.

2. Then clean the refrigerator interior with a solution of hot water and baking soda.

3. You also need to check the door seals.
--> please clean the door seals with a toothbrush and solution of warm water and baking soda or you may use water and bleach. Please be careful not to pull too hard so you will not tear the seal.

Hope it helps.

LG's design requires a drain heater element, to melt the ice that normally occurs due to the design. If this element fails, the drain clogs with ice, and so does the floor of the freezer, and then the floor in front of freezer.
