First thing I would check is a good ground. This is very important. Your ground should always be to clean metal. Metal that is being welded should also be clean. Good Luck Friend.

check for a circuit from the machine , through the trigger back to the relay that runs the rollers

The relay/contactor seems to be stuck. It is the thing with moving contacts and a coil. It is in the circuit as the power comes into the unit.

if you welded to long and overheated when cools down will reset ----if on and were not welding then check and test thermal protector for failure

This machine is an auto adjust for different voltages. The front end of the circuity is a PMPS or pulse mode power supply. No matter the input, the output is the same. Most all small appliances today are built around this technology. I bet a small IC on the circuit board has gone bad. A good electronics repair man could fix this or you can get the board from Miller.

Holy tards talk about having no clue the guy asked about a melted switch for polarity not about all this other bunk. Ok so first off on front that ain’t a switch it’s just a dial indicator that points to either positive or negative polarity , unscrew the knob then unscrew the four nuts turn the bridge 90 degrees and reinstall the nuts and screw the indicator back in

connect the + lead to the spool gun so that there is power at the end of the wire to make the arc there should have been a user manual showing how to connect it into the system try searching -- user manual for ( make and model of ) spool gun

Have a 130 xp welds the same with or with out the gas welds not smooth

I think your on /off switch is the problem. Depending on age of unit and amount of usage this is the first thing I would check . You can check switch with a multi meter to see if it says in the closed position and if it stays in the closed position , causing your unit to stay on. Good Luck Friend.

The 10 gage wire large one is the positive power lead. the 2 smaller wires are not polarity sensitive and go to activate the wire feed roller and supply power to the gun electrode via a relay.

you will need a welder with around 500 amp capacity to weld 8" steel what capacity welder have you got

10w-30 is recommended down to 0degrees F. 5w-30 when below 0. Use a synthetic oil. They are better all around.

Also check to ensure your air compressor is able to supply the recommended CFM that Is required by your Machine, check the condition of your plasma torch front end parts, is your plasma machine connected directly to the mains, if using an extension cord is must be able to supply the correct voltage and current to power your unit
