Top refrigerator is not working,

Your refrigerator gets its cold air from the freezer by way of a fan that transfers air past the freezer coils to the refrigerator. If the fan isn't working the refrigerator will not get cold. I your coils in the freezer are freezing up this will also stop the flow of air to the refrigerator. The first thing to check is the fan.

It definitely sounds like it has failed or is failing at least..

Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, just reply to my answer here and I will be right back with you.

Frost free freezer keeps frsoting

Hello,

Sounds like a defective defrost timer
If its a frost free upright freezer and the evaporator is frosting up with a snow like frost you have a defrost problem.. defrost themostate, heaters, or timmmer
Also note that
Dirty condenser coils are not the problem. It's most likely the defrost timer or defrost heater. The heater should come on about 3 times per day to melt the ice on the evaporator coils. If the defrost timer is not turning on the heater or the heater is burnt out, the coils will freeze up......

Hope this helps

Refrigerator not cooling

Might be a defrost problem. Look on the backside of the freezer compartment. If ice and frost is there you have a failed defrost. It most likely is the heater. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

Refrigerator makes thumpa-thumpa-thumpa sound when it's running.

i would start saving up for a new fridge,,if yours is 10 years old its getting past its best by now so its realy not worth spending good money on trying to get it fixed up as its going to pop its clogs soon anyhow
a new one would be cheaper to run plus it would look nice so you could show it off to all your friends,,,
its like,,,eat your hart out i got a new fridge!!!

LG fridge/freezer rumbling/vibrating sound

Check your defrost components. The fan is hitting the frost buildup and will shut off when the door is opened so as to not circulate the warm air. The heater or the timer is not doing a proper defrost cycle.

I have had a problem with this. the fan freezes up and stops sending cold air to the fridge. I was able to use a screwdriver and hair dryer to break up the ice, but it will keep on freezing up until the initial problem is fixed. (that's what I'm looking for now...)

Plastic water bottles on upper shelves sometimes have small leaks. Remove all above water containers. Maybe you spill some water replacing ice trays? Identify the source of water..that will be the cause of problem.

Our freezer bottom gets filled with ice

You have a drain that is freezing up. Pull the cover off the bottom back inside the freezer and bend the heat element down closer to the aliminum drain tray. It is too far away to heat the aliminum trat. The element is black and it is below the evaporator coil which has fins on it.
