If the pull cord does not turn the engine over, the starter pawls are probably not working properly.

Use a piece of trimmer like in head. As you slide it on it will likely be tight and hard to come off

There is a slightly easier way of getting the lines in which attaching a tag wire to end of the taper tubing and pulling the line thru the tank openings. Most time you don't even need to lube the lines and if you use the regular two fuel mix. Here is picture of the wire is attached.

The ratio is 40:1 Just add 3.2 ounces of 2 cycle oil to one gallon of fuel. Be sure to cap off the tank and shake to distribute the oil throughout the fuel before adding to weed eater.

Fuel line issue or carb needs to be rebuilt.

You either lost your fuel supply or fuel issue and/or spark.

Need to check if you have fire at the plug immediately when it stops. If you don't it's probably the coil. It could be that or it could be fuel related.

If it's the one that comes 'out' of the primer bulb it is the return line that goes in the fuel tank.

Ebay is a great place to purchase weed eater parts.

Most likely has a leak in the system, I suggest replacing the bulb as well as the lines, replacements are usually fairly cheep.

The carb may have a throttle slide but it will probably be an all position carb with a pump diaphram on the side, there will not be a non all position carb on a modern machine.

Remove the spark plug, install a spark tester into the plug cap ( these are a simple device normallt a dummy spark plug with a large gap ) earth the body of the spark tester well against the cylinder wall, make sure it is away from the open plug hole ,switch the ignition on, and crank the engine, you should see a spark at the tester, tester are readly available from dealers or on e bay.
