Bolens bl3100 LEAF BLOWER (2 STROKE)
If you think it's a fuel problem that's effecting the machine, try momentarily applying half to full choke while opening the throttle. If this improves running you do then have a fuel problem. If so it might be caused by either the small gauze mesh filter that screens fuel flowing (internally) from the 'pump' side of the carburetor to the 'metering' side. The problem could also be the filter on the end of the pickup line that goes into the fuel tank.
Or if the machine is a little old, it could be that the metering and pump diaphragms (both internal to the carb.) may have become stiff. A tip too is not to use fuel that contains ethyl alcohol as an additive.
John, I'm not familiar with your machine, but as many small 2 cycle engines have similar fuel systems I'm hoping this helps.
Gas oil mix
This is a 4 Cycle engine. You do not mix gas with oil. But must make sure that you do have engine oil in crankcase before running engine to prevent damage.
What holds pully on shaft for lawn keeper blade
I have an old model
Lawn Keeper gas edger with a 2HP Briggs and Stratton engine. It uses
a 30" fan belt to drive the cutting blade and both pulleys have
an alllen head set screw holding the pulleys to the shafts. The
pulleys are cast aluminum and the set screw and shafts are steel so I
find need penetrating oil and heat to loosen the set screw in order
to push the drive pulley further on the shaft to make room to replace
the drive belt.
Edger will start and runs
This is related to the diaphragm between the tank and the carburetor part number 495770 you can purchase from a shop like www.arcolawn.com and replace it very easily.
Best wishes
Joe
