It just stop running
seems to be issues with wires not seated properly, I had a wire that was not seated in the trigger switch. reinserted wire. Be careful on putting the wires back in place, not a lot of play. If not the switch, check the wires at the armature.
Problem with my B&D LE500 lawn edger. Will run
Check the switch, it could burnout. The trigger switch made on this model are very cheap and can not supply current to motor for a long time without burning out. So it could be that switch has melted, and plastic is covering parts of the terminal.
The edger is not cutting
You said cutting, not running, so I suggest removing the blade and sharpening on a grinder or buying a replacement blade.
