Check water valve at back Its where the water line attaches to it.
Check water pressure
Pour a cup of water in the ice maker, if it ejects ice later then that
valve is probably defective
If it doesnt then the icemaker is defective
Also check temp of freezer should be below 10 degrees

Ice maker over makes ice then ice cube tray cannot

WHEN THE UNIT GETS FULL YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO SHUT ICE MAKER OFF...
unfortunately there is no sensor to tell the ice maker to stop production so this will happen. sounds like the unit makes more ice that your family uses which normally would be a good thing... just shut the ice maker off until time to make some more and then switch back on ...
hope this helps you out.....

Icemaker makes too few cubes

Find the water source for the ice maker(most are under the kitchen sink and are tapped off of the cold water line to the faucets) You need to either shut off the tap by turning it clockwise until it is closed. Then you need to disconnect the vinyl tubing from the valve. get a bucket and place it where it will catch the water from the tap. Gradually open the tap by turning it counterclockwise until water starts to come out of the valve. If you have a large enough bucket open the valve all of the way. If the stream of water does not change then the valve is bad and needs replacing. If the stream is nice and strong then the valve is ok. Turn the valve clockwise to close it, reattach the vinyl tubing and open the vale all of the way. This should improve the quanity of ice cubes. If not then there is a cripmp in the vinyl line between the tap and the solinoid valve on the back of the refrigerator.

LG ice maker only making two ice cubes at a time

Colenoid in the ice dispenser may be clogged or have a small amount of trash in it. Is there a filter on before the fridge (just after the ice maker shutoff)?

The icemaker is not making ice, no water is getting through

Another user on this site is having a similar problem. What I suggested to that user is that they call the manufacturer before calling an appliance technician to see if there is a remedy for this problem in that it may be common with their product. Nothing beats saving money by making a free phone call. With that being said, I think the problem is in the solenoid of the ice makers. Water is getting to the solenoid but it is not turning on to allow flow beyond that point. It could be defective or it may be something as simple as trash or air in the line.

Water dispenser wont shut off

Something from the filter went into the dispensor valve and is holding it open. You can try to backflush it with a can of air by disconnecting the filter pushing open the valve while holding the can straw tightly while discharging it. You could also backflush it with water.
