Teledyne Laars Laars Lite 2 Pool Heater 325,000 Btu / Propane Gas Questions & Answers
Pilot will light but heater will not ignight
You may need to replace the Ignition Module. Have someone check to see if it is sending power. I have the same problem and need to replace the Fenwal automatic ignition system. The part cost $390 - check inside the heater for the model #
Heater will not come on...gas flows but no
Ive never heard of an ignitor on this model getting 92 VAC. It should be 120 volt.
If the ignitor is getting voltage when it is supposed to , but its not glowing like normal, replace ignitor. And also find out whats up with your electrical.
Teledyne laars series 2 pool heater
First of all, I'm assuming that your heater has a pilot and not self ignition. You will need a jumper wire ( 16" of wire with an alligator clip on each end)attach one end to the terminal on the gas valve that the red wire from the pilot generator is connected to ( pilot gen. is the thing the pilot flame touches).
Now attach the other end of the jumper to the terminal where the wire from the connects to the knob where you set the water temp).
NOTE:
JUMPING BYPASSES ALL BUILT IN SAFETY DEVICES AND IS FOR TEST LEAVE THE JUMPER CONNECTED TO RUN THE HEATER FOR HEATING PURPOSES!!!!
I replaced the ignition transformer in my Teledyne
This is probally your ignition wire is bad and not reading flame at the pilot or your pilot is bent or something so that when the pilot lights the flame isn't hitting the sensor probe at the pilot. When looking under the heater use a mirror so if you get roll out of the flame you don't get burned. Good luck and be careful.
My Pilot won't ignite.
well at least that mouse wont bite any more cables will it??? pricy mouse trap though! two bricks work!
to be honest if you sell gas and cant get parts you cant with the best will in the world fix it?
so,,, its just got to be a new one? sorry?
Fuses keep blowing
probably to much voltage going through i would see the maannual to see if there is any way to lower the power going through
Or your using a fuse which is to low and need to use a higher voltage fuse
if non of those i would call a technician
