Dewalt Emglo 55168 motor starts to slow down as pressure builds to about 30 PSI. It really starts to labor. Any thoughts as to what could be causing the motor to strain and slow?

Most likely in tank check valve is leaking or belt is slipping. Belt tension easy to check, should not deflect with thumb pressure. Check valve should not let air escape out of tank. Easy to check. Run compressor till pressure builds to around 50 psi. Then unplug machine from power outlet. Listen for air leaking out of tank. In bad cases, air will actually leak out of intake filter. Replace check valve as needed. Good luck

Dewalt framer acts like the safety isn't pushing the trigger far enough for the plunger air leaks out @the trigger until u let off. Whats wrong?

The trigger valve has failed, replace the orings that are made of vinyl within the valve or replace with new. Also check within the nailer for failed vinyl rings. There could be at least 5 bad orings. The bad orings will be yellow in color and feel putty-like. The black buna rings are usually ok.

Dewalt air compressor keeps running until pressure

The regulator switch/unloader is bad or out of adjustment. Perhaps though the gauge is faulty. 200 psi in a 120psi compressor is dangerous, don't run it until it is fixed!

DEWalt clipped head framing nailer. Model DY51825TY1 will not fire

while I have to say I am not a dewalt guy, I can try to point you in the right direction, assuming there are no leaks, then you state the trigger is not engaging , could be three things, one the trip ( safety) or the trigger valve or the trigger its self, if you feel comfortable pound out the pit that holds the trigger in. Just the trigger not the valve, then activate air to the gun, press the trigger, if it fires its the trip or the trigger rocker switch. the trigger can be examined see if its damaged bent or cracked, see if the safety trip is out of adjust, if it doesn't fire it could be the valve spring inside the trigger valve is broken. don't worry just watch how it comes apart and remember you cant make it worse. it doesn't fire now. anything is an improvement

I have a dewalt D618 that flashes a jam code but

These nailers are very tricky. ur battery always have to be fully charged. also check the safety lock, check the sequential\bump switch "is a small one underneath the tool"
sometimes when it get stuck , you can reset the electronics by taking the battery out for a couple of minutes. If nothing fix this, then is time to call for service.

*important Do Not put any lubricants inside !!!

How do I take apart a dewalt d5141 compr3ssor?

This number is for the D20114 its the safety valve that can not be set to a max basic pressure . its strange but its not adjustable it can be defect i have one time the same the experience there is not a adjustable Pressure Switch on this model , the moast compressors have a 8 to12 bar adjustable.pressure switch. Very important This safety valve gives an electronic brake between the pump and to a end of top about 10 bar . if its not switching off then a drain valve opened . and blows all the air out. (but only over 10 bar ) the max pressure on the tank , the moast tools are working on a pressure from 6 to 8 bar. ----------------------------------------- Checking Safety Valve WARNING: Risk of bursting. If the safety valve does not work properly, over-pressurization may occur, causing air tank rupture or an explosion. Before starting compressor, pull the ring on the safety valve to make sure that the safety valve operates freely. If the valve is stuck or does not operate smoothly, it must be replaced with the same type of valve. Draining Air Tank (Fig. 1) WARNING: Risk of unsafe operation. Risk from noise. Air tanks contain high pressure air. Keep face and other body parts away from outlet of drain. Use safety glasses when draining as debris can be kicked up into face. Use ANSI S12.6 (S3.19) ear protection as air flow noise is loud when draining. NOTE: All compressed air systems generate condensate that accumulates in any drain point (e.g., tanks, filter, aftercoolers, dryers). This condensate contains lubricating oil and/or substances which may be regulated and must be disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. 1. Ensure On/Off switch (A) is in the OFF position. 2. Move compressor into an inclined position so drain valve (H) is at the lowest point (this will assist in removing moisture, dirt, etc. from air tanks) 3. Place a suitable container under the drain valve to catch discharge. 4. Grasp black lever on drain valve. 5. Slowly rotate lever to gradually bleed air from air tank. 6. When air tank pressure gauge reads 10 PSI (275.1 kPa), rotate valve to the fully open position. 7. Close drain valve when finished

I pulled a stuck nail out if my dewalt nailer now

Ok you took the stuck nail out of the gun where it was stuck with the driver, yes. If so, Take air off,, take a long skinny screw driver and stick it in said hole and check to see if driver has returned the stroke backwards to a ready to fire position. If you feel the driver still forward push it backwards all the way. Remove all tools,, load a clip, hook the air hose and fire. if you get a nail (success) but if it fails after this shot and the same problems start all over again the chances are the driver is broken..
