Husqvarna "Chain Saw - 16" Bar, 3 Hp - Page 7 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Once I install the chain
Hello manley. your cover may be warped but before you replace it try reducing the tension a wee bit so that you can lift the chain, in the middle of the bar, so that the teeth are above the bar.
You may just be tensioning the chain too muc. J.
How to replace a missing
It is very simple to re fit, you only need to lift the top cover off, the hooked end of the rod just engages into the hole in the throttle spindle, the other end with the plasric sleeve just sits into the groove in the tank unit, and is held down by the top cover, the part number of the rod is 530029869 the plastic sleeve is part number 530029863
Installation of new chain on
Make sure the chainbrake ( if if fitted ) is off by pulling the hand guard fully back to the top handle, remove the securing nuts and remove the side cover, wind the chain adjuster back if it is in the crankcase, pull the bar fully back, now loop the loose chain off the tip of the bar and over the sprocket, re fit the new chain over the sprocket, and lay it around the guide bar, place the bar adjuster hole onto the adjuster pawl ( if it is in the crankcase ) refit the side cover, if the adjuster pawl is in the side cover make sure it fits into the hole in the bar, put the securing nuts back on finger tight, adjust the chain so as it fits snuggley around the bar, with a gloved hand pull the chain around the bar to make sure it is seated correctly, re adjust if required, lift the bar nose up and fully tighten the securing nuts, after the first ten minutes of use re check the chain tention as there will be an initial stretch.
Husqvarna 350 chainsaw problen..not enough oil
The 350 had a three position oil pump, the adjuster is on the bottom of the saw, under the pump on the drive side, there is also a filter in the base of the tank, it is held with a single cross head screw, you can see it between on the drive side, between the fuel tank, it is grey in colour.
I can not get the cover to fit back over the chain
The chain brake is activated, if the hand guard is connected to the brake cover, carefully clamp the brake in a vice ( be careful not to damage the cover ) now pull the hand guard fully back until the brake clicks off, if the hand guard is on the saw itself, remove the two screws and remove the hand guard, use this as a tool to fit into the brake and load it.
I have a372XP chainsaw which
The blue button is a de compression valve, push this in before attempting to start, it will automatically come out when the machine fires up.

Hi, grab the cover in a vise in the same place the bar nuts tighten up to. Then pull the chainbrake lever back towards where the handle bar would normally be until it clicks and locks back. This will require a bit of force. Then refit the cover as normal. Hope this helps, regards Phil.
How engine oil i put?
You mix the petrol with "2 stroke oil" at a ratio of 40:1. Use good quality 2 stroke oil like Husqvarna or Stihl rather than the cheaper ones you get in service stations.
You also need to use Chain Oil which goes in the opening marked Oil. You can get chain oil from any tool hire company or hardware store. It needs to be refilled each time you refill the fuel mix.
How do u replace the chain
ON THE RIGHT SIDE WHERE THE CHAIN IS LOCATED IS AN COVER.tAKE IT OUT.tHEN YOU WILL SEE A NUT OR 2,UNSCREW THEM.

I can not get the
I just fixed my chainsaw with the same problem. Nothing is broken, it just builds up a teaspoon full of sawdust between the click out band and the centrifugal clutch. Taking off the cover on the bar side, you just have to get all that stuff out with a tooth pick or shard of Fir wood kindling untill you can spin the centrifugal clutch with your finger - with the snap bar rearward. I took the whole band off and removed about half a cup of fine sawdust mixed with bar oil from behind the band area. Watch out for small parts like a 1/8" roll pin that has to go back in there when you put it back together - keep all the dust in a can just in case!
I remove the chain brake and bar cover from my
Hi, the chain brake has most likely been activated while removing the cover. Place the cover in a vise where the bar nuts tighten up to and pull the chain brake lever backwards towards where the handle bar would be. It should click back and stay back. Hope this helps, regards Phil.
How to reset brale on
To load the brake grab the hand guard firmly and pull it fully back to the top handle, you should hear a click as it loads.
I have the Hq 435.
If this is the tooless brake cover, with the big plastic hand nut, i never liked this system, we always fitted the standar brake with a 13mm nut that could be tightened with the combination spanner, the brake is part no. 501388201.
I have husquavarna chain saw s/n 95212H01984 with
The saw is a 41, as standard it ran a 15" bar and chain, in the UK it ran a .325 pitch, however in the US, it ran a 3/8 pitch chain, as you should change the sprocket if fitting a new chain, i would put it on .325 if it is not already, the sprocket is part no. 530069342, the 15" chain is 501840664, and the guide bar is 508926164 these are .325 pitch 050 gauge and 64 drive links, this combination will cut much faster than the 3/8 low profile combination.
