McCulloch 26cc Backpack Blower with Dual Jet Engine and Easy Start Questions & Answers
It was not idely properly
Todays carbs allow for very little adjustment due to pollution laws so when problems begin, it is usually due to fuel problems such as debris in the tank pinched fuel line dirty fuel filter etc.
I am assuming that you have already checked all the usual stuff and even have changed the spark plug. Here are a few things to check
Check for lean fuel conditon.
Run the engine at full speed, then choke slightly, if speed improves with just a little choke, open high speed adj. screw. If speed decreases with slight choke, close slightly high speed screw.
Check for spark arrester screen clogged. Remove muffler spark arrester, and clean, if arrester screen is clean, remove the muffler completely and examine cylinder and piston for heavy carbon deposits and or scratches on cylinder wall or piston. If scratched, burned, most likely neer end of life of cyl/piston causing compression leak.
Easy test for compression leak.
Spray WD40 on cyl/piston with muffler removed and ign switch off or plug wire removed. Pull rope slowly thru compression stroke and look for bubbles indicating leak. Good luck with your blower.
McCulloch 32cc backpack leaf-blower
Mcculloch MB3202 anti-vibration back pack leaf blower, runs better at the middle setting of the choke than it does if it's wide open the way it should be. Can't get it to blow leaves well. Owners manual lost. ANY ADVICE???????? New gas, spark plug starts on the first pull but just doesn't give out like it should.
Where can I find a manualf or McCulloch 32 cc leaf blower
I can't give you an exact link without the model. What you need to do is go here to McCulloch's websitehttp://www.mccullochpower.com/node7877.aspxNear the bottom in the middle under support the third link down is Download Manuals. Click that to open new page, fill in your model and download your manual.
My brand new blower only runs on half choke
Hello,
My name is Dane and I am going to assist you in solving your problem. You will need to adjust the high speed setting on your Carburetor jet. Turning the screw out just 1/2 turn or so should do the trick. It is not so hard to adjust the Carburetor, however you do need a special tool that is very hard to get your hands on, in order to adjust the jet screws. They don't make many engines with plain screw heads anymore. The newer Carburetors are factory set lean so they can pass emission standards. If you have a local dealer, they should adjust the mixture free with a recently purchased unit or for a couple of bucks otherwise. I hope I've helped. Thank you! Dane
No idea how old this
The vibration is almost certainly an imbalance of the fan rotor. The device is very simple, the only thing attached to the motor shaft (and the only thing that moves besides the motor itself) is the fan. See if you can remove the cover over the fan. You will probably find that the fan rotor has some pieces broken off.
Looks like the gas tubes (supply and return) have
Go to your local small engine repair shop and get a couple of feet of some new stuff. The fuel line with a yellow tint to it is best for fuel of all kinds. You can probably find it online also but your best bet is the local guy he will have a roll of it.
Blower starts, runs high, then stalls
Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:
You willneed to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner.Makesure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see day lightthrough it.)
Use a Den Tek Brush, (
http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152),to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.
If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.
If you need further assistance on:
1. Fuel line replacement or
2. Carburetor kit replacement
Just let me know.
Jim
