Murry 12.5 40in mower wont engage

Could be the seat switch, the on/off switch, or the electromagnetic clutch. I would check them in that order.

PTO Tension JD 155C

Look between top of deck and bottom of machine for a rod coming from the rear topside of deck and going up to bottom of machine.Where it connects to machine there is a small pin you must pull to disconnect it.Once done loosen locknut and turn collar in,away from nut,3 or 4 turns to give PTO lever more pull.Tighten locknut,put rod/collar up and over crossbar and into hole it came out of,install pin.You may need to move PTO lever as if you were going to engage blades to help collar line up with hole.

Just a thought for your consideration...
If you can, check the carburator to see if you have condensation trapped in the bowl.

Excessive Grass

the grass is too high, cut it 2 times first cut should be half then the second cut should be the normal level. just remember go the other way on the second cut.
