Remove the wheel from the mower.

Let all the air out

Lay the tire flat

Push on the tire to release the grasp on the diameter of the rim (use a malet if ou need to)

Apply soapy water to the tire and rim

Insert a standard screwdriver between the tire and rim and pry the tire over the rim in one spot

Then work the screwdriver around the rim, pulling the rest of the tire up and over as you
go

Repeat the last step for the other side of the tire, same side of the rim though!

Viola, there you have it. Shade tree mechanic at it best. And NO labor cost$$$!!!!!

Get the carburetor adjusted

my guess would be a carburetor adjustment as it sounds like it is burning to rich. if there are no set screws i would replace the needle and seat.

Check tyre pressures and make sure they have sufficient tread, sit as low as possible

Burning belts sounds like something is locked up. Make sure there's nothing wrapped around any of the blades and that they turn freely.

Likely its a hydro-gear, available from multiple sources.

Swisher ZTR steering arm is a poor design and loosens over time which eventually causes control issues. If the steering arms flop about, the main pivot bolt needs tightened.

It sounds like the belt was installed wrong or not adjusted assuming it is the correct replacement.

Not likely. But to eliminate that possibility try connecting a battery charge to the battery and try engaging the blades then. Also check all electrical connection in system for corrosion and tightness. Lastly With compressed air blow all dirt and debris from the mower, especially clutch area and Hydraulic pumps. Check tension on blade drive belt.
