My Husqvarna Hydrostatic transmission is not delivering the consistent drive power that it once had. It is stopping going up small inclines. I have replaced the drive belt with no improvement. I am planning on checking the torque spring to see if that helps but I was wondering if there was some other adjustments that I can perform to hopefully rectify the issue. My tractor is a YTH 150

Try this - remove all the transmission oil from the transaxle and put in a heavyer oil - 50 wt.
see if your transaxle has a drain plug - if not you will need to remove the tranaxle from the lawn tractor. I had to try a ratchet strap to the rear of the tractor and lift it up until the wheels were free. I removed the brake linkage spring, the fwd/rev linkage, and wheels. Undo the axle bolts and two screws ofn the cross support bracket on the tranaxle mount. pull the vent fill plug on top of the transaxle and turn the transaxle upside down to drain all the oil from it into a pan. Refill with 50 wt. to the top and remount the transaxle back in place. Next you will need to bleed the system as follows:
1. Have the tractor on jack stands with rear wheel off the floor.
2. Start engine on low speed.
3. repeat open and closeing the bypass valve while alternating the forward and reverse pedals.
4. when wheels start to turn increase the engine speed.
5. repeat quick forward or reverse with panic braking stops until transaxle gets full responce.
6. remove jack stands and have tractor on the wheels.
7. recheck the oil level again.
I did this to mine and it will improve your tractor ability to climb hills like new. 30 wt oil is too light (good for brake in) when tractor was new and refilling it with 50 wt will work like new or better.

Husqvarna won't go forward or backwards.

Thanks for the points on the pulley system. I somehow disengaged the pulley when putting on the brake.to put it back on easily, I reengaged the brake with my hand and slid the belt back over the pulley wheel on the other side, now located more toward the middle of the mower in arm's reach. Very quick fix to an alarming symptom!

I need to make sure I am using the right oil for my brothers Husqvarna riding mower. Do I use SAE 30? It is a riding mower Model # LOGTH2448T. The engine is a Briggs and Stratton Intek 24 Twin OHV (?)

I have a Husqvarna zero turn mower that won't start...it just makes a clicking noise. It has less than 15 hrs usage, but has been sitting for over a year. Would this be a problem with the ignition or the starter? Thank

Usually if all you hear is a clicking noise, it is the solenoid itself that has gone bad...if you can jump the solenoid and the mower turns over, it is the solenoid.

How do I adjust the deck level on a Husqvarna riding mower?
Posted by tmas9596 on
Not sure if you are looking for the nuts and knobs or how to level? Most newer decks have knobs for adjuctments. I park my mower on a concrete level surface make sure all tires are at the correct psi then with tape measure check front left and right at bottom of deck for same measurment. You can also put a 2 ft level on the deck and adjust.

Our Husqvarna mower is less than 1 year old. It starts easy, the deck will engage but the blades will not engage. What to do???
Posted by judy_short on
Could be a broken belt, loose belt (stretched) or something is under the mower deck jamming the blades. (stick for an example)

I have a Husqvarna YTH 2348 the deck anti sway bar came looses fell of frame and bent, I removed rod strightened and need to kown how to put rod back in proper location on the frame and deck bracket

Once you've straightened it - you've finished the hard part. Now take the end without the pin and stick it into the hole located on the transmission frame (the metal piece that the transmission sits on.) It is directly under the seat. The hole is on the front side of the tranny frame. Once you have it all the way in, take the pin end and put it through the mower deck brace (right side.) There is a hole there also for this end. If it doesn't go through enough to get the washer and pin through, push the mower deck towards the anti-sway bar. It should give a lot since the anti-sway bar is off. Once you fasten it, your'e done!
I only know this because it just happened to me today. I have the same mower as you, so I thought I would share.
