How to change oil in a pressure washer

From the manual CleanShot 2050 Briggs and Stratton

Change Pump Oil
1. Drain engine oil and fuel from pressure washer
2. Use an 8 mm allen wrench to remove black pump oil cap between high pressure outlet and garden hose inlet.
3. Tiltl pressure washer to drain oil into an approved container until it drips slowly from pump.
4.Tilt pressure washer in opposite direction and empty premeasured pump oil bottle into same opening (a small funnel may be helpful) [THIS IS WHAT THE MANUAL SAYS-NOT CLEARLY WRITTEN IN MY OPINION OR WRITTEN BY SOMEONE FOR WHOM ENGLISH IS A SECOND LANGUAGE]
5. Install black pump oil cap and tighten firmly.
6. Set pressure washer in upright position. Add fuel and engine oil.

From the engine manual use synthetic 5w-30, 10w-30 from -20 degrees F to temperature of 100 degrees F.
Change oil after 5 hours of operation initially. Before tipping to drain oil, remove fuel from fuel tank by running until tank is empty. Remove oil cap and dipstick and tip engine. Keep spark plug side up. Or remove drain plug from the bottom of pressure washer with a ratchet and square extension and drain oil from bottom. (fuel does not have to be removed)

Water doesnt flow through my pressure washer when the enging is running

But, does it flow through when the engine is off? If no water goes through either way, it can be as simple fix as cleaning the noozle. Remove the noozle, or the gun, and finally the out flow hose. If water flows through, start adding components from there. Also make sure that your noozle is turned on with full flow.

My diesel burner on my pressure washer smokes real

HI, here is a few pointers that may help you ,
  1. if the smoke is white , that usually indicates water in the diesel, empty fuel tank and replace/clean the fuel filter
  2. if the smoke is black that indicates excess diesel or unburnt fuel , normal fuel pump pressure is around 8 to 9 bar (you will need a gauge to check this ), another cause is often failure of the fuel nozzle to correctly atomise the fuel (remove nozzle and clean (a small sintered fuel filter inside this )
  3. the burner electrodes should have a blue angry looking spark across them ,when checked (BE VERY CAREFULL WHILST DOING THIS as in effect you have a flame thrower ), usual gapping distances are around 6 mm
  4. the electrodes should be sharp pointed and not rounded or pitted
  5. a final cause is commonly a leaking fuel solenoid which can cause fuel to drip into the burner/heating coil assembly ( replace the solenoid
as you can see this can often be a complex and dirty job to repair and it might be better to contact a local service agent in your area .
Hope this helps

Pressure washer with no pressure

Are you priming the water lines before you switch on the power?
i.e. with power OFF, hook up hose and turn hose on (doesn't need to have much hose pressure), then take your spray gun or attachment and pull the trigger and allow water to flow through the system (at hose pressure obviously). You might need to gravity feed it if its not flowing through...

But you will generally only get pressure once all the air is removed from the lines and the pump is pushing water only... Once you have water flow and lines are primed, switch on pump and see if that solves it.

Generac 6hp pressure washer starts and runs fine,

after making the water connections, be sure to hold the trigger open on the wand for a couple of minutes before starting. All the air must be removed from the system before it can create pressure.

How can I repair my Briggs and stratton 6.5 intek

Fuel Starvation - Float Bowl Carburetor
1) remove air filter assembly
*be cautious of tearing the mounting gasket. If it does tear, you HAVE to replace it. It is part of the priming system
2) remove the float bowl fastener. This is the main jet
3) carefully remove the float bowl, the rubber o-ring/gasket will not be able to be used if it is removed, you WILL have to replace it
4) using a spray 'carb cleaner'
spray up thru the center of the carburetor
spray and clean the main jet with cleaner and 'tag' wire
(tag wire is very thin, and can be used to clean the hole in the center of the main jet)
5) clean any debris from inside the bowl or carb body
6) re-install bowl and center bolt, air filter assembly

*if you need gaskets, your Briggs dealer can supply. The kit is cheaper than individual gaskets, and all the parts needed to finish the above repair are in the kit. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/rolandw_c013176d62ee17ae

I have a 7 hp B&G craftsman Pressure washer ,

First,

It sounds like the air filter is full of dirt preventing air from flowing through, starving the engine of air.

As for the oil shooting through, are you certain the oil is coming from teh carb?. Makes no sense the engine would run if it also shoots oil out the carb. There is nothing in the engine that would cause this, assuming it's a gasoline engine. And I am not sure a diesel would do this either.
