Pride Go-Go Ultra X 3-Wheel Travel Scooter - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Scooter does not move either
This scooter has an S drive controller. The beep code will begin with 10 very fast beeps followed by a number of slower beeps. The number of slower beeps indicates the actual code. It will do this only once. To repeat the beep code, remove and reinsert the key.
Beep code #9 is a possible controller trip.
Diagnosis:
The key may have been inserted during battery box installation.
The controller may be overheated.
The brake is dragging or pulling too much current.
Solution:
Remove the key from the key switch before installing the battery box.
If the problem persists shut down the scooter for 10-15 minutes and allow the controller to cool down.
Bottom line is that you may need a new controller or brake. Keep in mind these may be warranty items. A qualified technician may be needed to diagnose and repair the problem. Hope this helps.
Electric motor heats up and stops after using for about 15 to 20 minutes, when it cools it runs for a short time
If the motor is heating up more than usual, a couple of things
may be the source.
a) DC 24volt Motor itself has a shorted winding and using more current than normal. In that case the motor may need to be replaced. These DC motors have a commutated armature
that uses two carbon brushes. The carbon brushed do wear
down in time, so that could also be the source. The carbon
brushes are replaceable on pretty much all scooters and
can be obtained from MonsterScooter.
b) Controller issue where more current is being supplied to
the motor, but the motor itself determines how many amps
it draws from the batteries (ASSUMING FULL CHARGE HERE)
BASED ON THE BATTERY VOLTAGE, the lower the battery
voltage, the more current is required to move the transmission.
Gogo ultra runs making noises
What shape are the brushes in on the motor? If the copper wire is discolored that indicates over current. The armature may have a shorted winding after an extended overheat condition. You may get lucky by just cleaning the surface of the armature where the brush contacts it.
Getting 7 beeps
You need to consult your owners manuals for flash codes/beeps.
When I want to get scooter to go, it just beeps.
2 beeps=too low battery voltage
3 beeps=battery voltage too high
5 beeps=solenoid brake trip or free wheel mode
remove key then push then push the manual release lever in completely
6 beeps=throttle trip
throttle control lever may have been depressed while
inserting key so release control lever completely
7 beeps=throttle trip
throttle potentiometer fault or speed potentiometer fault
Go-go battery won't charge
PLEASE NOTE: The Low Voltage Protection feature on this battery charger will not allow the charger to activate unless it is connected to a battery pack that has a minimum voltage of 16 volts. Battery packs with voltages below that level of charge cannot be recovered or recharged. This is a safety feature to prevent overheating in the event of a faulty battery. This battery charger will not output any voltage to the XLR connector until connected to a battery pack meeting this minimum voltage requirement.
How do I have the
Dad do you want another keyed switch or can you live with a toggle switch? If you want a keyed switch contact the provider that sold you your scooter and have them order one for you Ask iof they can replace it for you. Now if you just lost the key they should be able to get you just the key. If the switch is bad then you can buy an on/off toggle switch and replace the keyed switch with it it should cost you about 5-6 dollars for the switch and you can install it yourself by removing the front tiller shroud and splicing the on/off switch into the keyed switch wires Hope this helps you
Where does one get the wiring diagram

This illustrated parts breakdown will allow you to follow the wiring harnesses and check and test all the interconnects. This manual will allow you to remove covers and locate parts. Some basic problems can be solved by checking for loose, disconnected, burnt or damaged wiring and connectors. This manual will also give you part numbers. It is best to check with customer service before ordering parts since there are parts changes based on Model and serial number.
Just as a point of reference, most issues for this model can be found in the electronics assembly console, the plugs at the controller and the battery box connections and HIDDEN fuses. B7 page 30 is a good example of a hidden fuse on the battery box that is sometimes burnt out. E3 page 28 is another hidden fuse. Hope this helps.
Batteries seem to drain overnight
