Are you referring to flashing the BIOS or are you referring to the settings in the software utility of the BIOS?

I would suggest going to the manufacturer of your motherboard's support page and making sure you have the correct chipset drivers installed for you motherboard. if the driver is wrong, windows cannot "talk" correctly to your cpu.
