On the control Panel, press the keys #*C* (pound, star,clear,star)to enter test mode. Enter number 16 and press the copy button. On the touch screen press "execute" and "yes". Press CA to reboot. The error code should clear.

F2:72 is for Toner cartridge improper cartridge detection (MAGENTA).

Check and see if the right toner cartridge is installed. If it is the proper cartridge I would suggest placing a service call.

Out of curiousity is the main power switch on. The one inside the front door in the lower left corner? If it is have you checked ground wires in the op panel, dc and ac power supply?

Are you making copies of the glass or from the document feeder? If it is off the glass then the optics and/or the MC need to be cleaned. If you are using the document feeder it could be the **** glass (the strip of glass on the left side of the big glass) needs to be cleaned. If you can not see anything on the **** glass then use your fingernail and run it up and down the glass in a back and forth motion.

If you have admin privilages on your PC you can go to the configuration tab and click the auto config button and then confirm all the options are selected. If you don't have admin privilages then you will have to get your IT person to log in and do it.

On that model there is one side of the tray that has a little bit fatter end on it. The fatter end has to go in first past the part of the guide that would stop the tray when its pulled out. After that is in then you can tilt the tray to slide in the other side.

I think it is soft switch 103 bit 5.

Odds are that you need a new Cyan drum unit... Have you tried to clean the primary charge unit yet? Good Luck

I apologize for not having an answer to this but I do not have any manuals on this printer/copier. In the past when I had difficulty with a drum I replaced the drum and wiped down the rollers before and after the drum after letting it cool.

IT MEANS YOUR BLACK DRUM AND DEVELOPER NEEDS REPLACEMENT, IF NO PROPBLEMS ARE THERE IN YOUR CPY QUALITY YOU CAN RESET THIS BY PRESSING #*c* BUTTON RESPECTIVELY WITH NOT MUCH TIME DELAY IN BETWEEN THE KEYS, THEN MACHINE WILL ASK FOR MAIN CODE THEN PRESS 2 AND 4 THEN PRESS START THEN YOU CAN SEE THE DRUM AND DEVELOPER COUNTER RESET SELECT THAT BLACK DRUM AND PRESS OK THEN DELOPER ALSO LIKE THIS THIS WILL RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEM, IF ANY QUERIES FEEL FREE TO CONTACT AND VOTE AND RATE THIS AFTER GETTING YOUR PROBLEM RESOLVED.

Try a new phone line from the wall to the machine. Make sure to plug it into the "line" and not the "ext/phone"

Type the machine ip adress on the adress bar of the machine and hit enter.Then the machine webpage will appear

1. Click the Network Settings link, login asadmin, username is admin and password is also admin and click the Services Settings link.

2. Use the SMTP server IP addresses in the Primary andSecondary Server fields rather than the server names.

3. Verify if the mail server is using the default SMTP portof 25. If it is not, then change the Port Number to match the server. Port 587is a commonly used port if authentication is required.

4. The Reply Email Address must be a valid local emailaddress for some mail servers or messages will be discarded. If using a Reply Email Address like: [email protected] [email protected] confirm that the email address actually exists.

5. If the server is running SSL (GMail uses SSL) for bettersecurity, check the box next to Enable SSL. Click here for instructions on how to setup scan to GMail.

6. Leave the User Name and Password blank temporarily andperform the Connection Test. A successful response will verify that the serveris really a valid SMTP mail server.

1.Createa new user account and password for the mfp on the mail server this useraccount name , the name set in the mfp

make sure you have the right driver. you might want to try to replace the line going into the copier

The TK2 means its time to replace the secondary transfer belt. Depending on your copier and driver setup it may prevent you from printing. If you open your print driver properties and go to the ports tab and then click on configure port button, in the next window uncheck "SNMB printing" option - this should allow you to print. You can clear the maintenance code by going into the SIM mode. press the following keys one after the other "P" "*" "C" "*" then enter 24 and "copy start key" then enter 4 (maintenance clear) and copy start key then highlight the items you want to reset and press execute then yes. restart the copier by pressing the "CA" key. do not make adjustments to other sim code items as it can render copier useless!
