Cannot transfer pictures from camera to computer

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

Red eye on sanyo digital camera xacti, always

Do you mean your subject's eyes are showing "redeye"? This is a common problem with cameras that have the flash very close to the lens. Almost every photo editing program has a tool to remove red-eye. Check your computer to see what you have installed. In the future, most cameras have a red-eye flash setting which shoots a short flash before the main flash to close down the pupils in your subjects eyes to eliminate red-eye. You could also turn up the lights in the room...sometimes that helps.

I have a Sanyo VPC-T700

Hi,
Once you put memory card in slot of camera, internal memory got cut off and camera does not use it for fresh files/ picture storage any more.
Make sure memory card is in camera slot properly and camera shows display to format memory card, go ahead and format memory card without any fear of losing files in internal memory. After formatting memory card, copy internal memory pictures on memory card.
Internal memory pictures can only be deleted either one by one or you perform internal memory format option. Memory card must be out from camera to access internal memory to delete pictures.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

CAMERA WOULD NOT CHARGE

Yes, you're right. First thing to suspect is that the battery isn't holding enough charge. Check and clean the battery contacts, both on the battery and inside the camera- they can get dirty or slightly oxidized. Then try to recharge the battery. If that doesn't work, trying another known, good battery is the next step. You can purchase them at a good price off ebay. If that doesn't work, service may be required, but that can be expensive, so oftentimes it's better to just buy a newer camera, on sale. I've seem 10.2 mp brand names on sale for $69- and you can't get a camera serviced for that most of the time.

How do i turn off protected card on my camera

If you mean by removing the memory card protection, turn off your camera and take out the memory card. Look for a small tab in the memory card that can be adjusted up or down. Usually, to unprotect, it should be adjusted upwards or if it doesn't adjust it downwards.

My camara doesn't want to charge

Make sure your charger is working, and good. You have to measure the output with a volt-meter. Next, make sure the battery terminals inside the battery are clean, sometimes they oxidize or get dirty. If none of that works, the unit will have to be troubleshot...power switch, electronic boards, etc. That can cost more than the cost of a replacement camera, so get an estimate before you repair it. There are some good brand 10.2 mp cameras on sale these days for $69...can't beat that!

Screen is black like the lens is closed

Are you sure your lcd display isn't broken? I don't know if the lens assembly has an inner screen, but if it's not working, it's the gear mechanism that's broken, and will require servicing. Cheaper to buy a new one, on sale, if the cost is too much to service it. A repair shop should be able to give you a ballpark estimate.
