this could be your connection to the amp .make sure the positive leads from the sub are on the positive terminals on the amp .first try one sub alone and then connect the other one .with the second one try swaping the terminals but if your using quality products you woudnt have to just connect the leads to the terminals the belong to .positive on positive and negative on negative

Key things to check.
1. Make sure you have a good power and ground. Make sure you have a large enough power cable(4 gauge is a good start). The ground should always be attached to bare metal(remove paint from contact area).

2. Ensure your amps crossover is set to low pass and at about 80hz. Turn any bass boost off, and start with low gain.

3.Your enclosure should be 1.25 cu sealed, or 1.75cu ported. If you are too far off these numbers it can cause distortion and clipping.

4. For the single woofer your best amp solution would be a 300 RMS 2ch bridged to 4 OHMs. As long as you're running the sub at 4OHMs you shouldn't have a problem. Under-powering can be worse than overpowering.

5.If your head unit has high and low pass crossovers, set your low pass at 80hz as well. If the head unit doesn't have crossovers, then turn your EQ to flat.

If none of this helps, it could just be the amp.

sounds like the amps not rated for the resistance tha subs have it running at....are they a dual 2 or dual 4 ohm?is the amp rated for 1ohm? sounds like amps going into protect mode

Sounds like you either shorted something out or overloaded the amp. Is there any odor coming from it? If so It will need to be repaired or replaced. What did you have connected to it and how was it wired?

You will need to open it up to see if anything damaged. That does not look good at all from the outside.

In your world, what does best results mean to you. how are the hifonics mounted? open air, closed box, vented box (optimized to what freq)? trunk or inside vehicle? all these variations weigh heavily on your configuration. As does what 'best results" means to you.

Check your ground to make sure it is properly grounded

Disconnect all the speakers one at a time and see if it stops doing that, if it does you have a shorted speaker or wiring

Amps that big are usually fused on the feed wire, under the hood of the car, near the battery.

Re tune your amp

Check your speakers wiring to make sure they are not touching. This will make your amp go in protection mode.
