Where is device manager on my dell d430?
You didn't say which Operating System you are using, but if it's Vista or Windows 7 click on Start, then right click on Computer and scroll to the bottom and click on 'Properties'. When the Properties windows opens it should be the top option on the left. If you are using 'XP', right click on 'My Computer', scroll to the bottom and click on 'Properties, then on the 'Hardware' tab. It will be the first 'button' on the new Window.
Brighten screen

Latitude D430 PC Notebook: i forgot my login password and i cant get into my ...
You have to reset the PC and while booting press F8 until the OS menu shows up, choose start safe mode. When you reach the Login part you will be able to login as an administrator, while you are logged in as Admin change your user password.
Word of advice, change to Windows XP or Windows 7 because Vista is the worst OS I saw. Cheers
