i bought it on black friday this year 2008.i have tried to put videos on it but it doesnt work.
The only way I found that worked is convert video to WMV first. I used Smart Soft Video Converter but there are many out there. Then convert WMV to SMV using the Phillips SA30XX Media converter on the CD supplied with the unit.

it wont turn on, my computer (mac) wont recognise it, and it wont charge up at all on my mac. how do i fix it?
The SA3025 is not compatible with Macintosh. It will show up as "Internal" or some such, but you won't be able to load the songs into there properly. That is why the documentation says:
System requirements
• Windows® 2000, XP, Vista

I've tried to convert .avi videos into .wmv but it keeps saying "format not supported" please help me.
Hi! Your Philips Sa 3025/37 doesn't support .wmv video format instead it supports .smv video format. You can convert your video formats such as .wmv, .avi, .3gp, etc into .smv format.
You can download it from-
http://www.soft29.com/freeware/smv_converter.htm
After installing it select the dimension as 128x128 and frame rate as 15 fps from quality level-> custom -> details
Enjoy!

What to do if my mp3 player won't stay on after I turn it on,constantly freezes, won't charge up, or won't turn on
i had the same problem. my reset button was jammed. the problem: the reset button is so deep in the tiny hole its hard to tell if you even really hit it when you put a pen in there and somethign like a sharpened pencil just doesn't go deep enough. i monkeyed around wiht a peice of straw in the reset hole for about 10 seconds then tried to turn it on and it worked. good luck

my 2GB Go Gear Philips Ipod with MP3 Player and FM Radio. Now it can't be opened. It once fell in the ground. so can u give the solution for it so that I can open it ?
Fell on the ground? the hard disk inside the mp3 player may have been damaged when you dropped it in which case the mp3 player is shot.

The MP3 player brings up the main screen that has the brand name and www.philips.com/welcome below it. After that the screen goes white, then turns off completely. When it's plugged in though to charge, it acts fine and the screen shows it is charging.
Well its a software problem so try connecting it to your pc and format it....i think sa kinda virus affected your mp3 player

i have a phillips go gear MP3 player and when i turn it on it freezes only the words www.phillips/welcome.com screens shows. how to i fix this?
Hello
Your GoGear is freezing because there is an error in the operating system and can be fixed by resetting the device. Resetting the GoGear is similar to rebooting your computer. You will not lose any of the data uploaded to the device. To reset the GoGear, press the "Reset" button located on the left of the device. The screen will go blank for a few seconds and then turn back on.
If the GoGear freezes after uploading a file to the device or if one song or sound file freezes the device each time you play it, the file is likely corrupt and needs to be removed from the GoGear. Connect the GoGear to a computer and delete the file from the device.
