How do I change battery on my camera?

Usually on the bottom left or right of your camera, without knowing the model it's hard to say exactly. You will typically see a multiple vertical lines an arrow and the words open showing which way you should push. It will pop open a latch where you can see the battery.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

If i format the memory card will photos be erased?

Yes. Formatting the memory card erases everything on the card. It should be done periodically to clean things up, usually each time after you download your pictures to your computer.

Why does camera say lens obstruction?

Because the camera detected no movement to the lens. This can because it is stuck in one place, or the sensor is defect. Just try one thing before buying a new camera. Remove the battery, charge it and then replace it. The removing of the battery and reinserting it, has the same effect as a cold boot form a computer. The battery should have enough power, to drive the motor, that will move the lens.

How to erase internal memory on Easy Share 182

If you haven't got a removeable memory card the camera saves automatically to the internal memory and because this is very small it fills very quickly and there is nothing you can do about this other than installing a card. If you have a memory card installed then check your settings to ensure it saves automatically to this external memory. Go to the kodak website and download a free manual if you don't already have one.
