The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa: Organize edit and share your photos

$100?!!! What's it made from...platinum? If it's just a tiny screw, you could go to a jewelry and watch repair place with your camera and they could probably find a suitable replacement.

VGA stands for "Video Graphics Array." It's the name IBM gave their new graphics standard upon its introduction in 1987.In the context of current digital cameras, it simply refers to a resolution of 640 pixels across by 480 pixels down (about 0.3 megapixels).

Submerse it in a bowl of water, ensuring everything is closed properly. Then run it under running tap water, not full blast and while doing this under the tap turn it off and on.
I just did this tonight after having the same problem and it worked!

Hi,it would be very hard to say what could be the reason behind this. But however you can check if the battery is charged correctly or you can change the battery cells to see the difference.

If the camera just shuts down without warning the problem most probably is the battery. Often times devices such as cameras lose contact with their points for the battery and at that point since there is no power to the system the system automatically shuts down. Check how well the battery sits inside the unit if it has room for shaking and probably loss of contact try getting something to support it so as to ensure proper contact. If. This does not work then component inside the units board is bad and the unit needs to be opened and examined.Hope this solution has been helpful?

Good day,

This tip will explain how to remove the write protect from your SD Card.

This is a easy fix and won't take a minute.

First remove your SD Card from your device. You will see on the side of the SD Card that there is a small switch. If your SD Card complains about being write protected simply put the switch in the opposite position. Some of the SD Cards even have the word LOCK on near the switch indicating the direction the switch must be to LOCK the card.

Once the switch is changed you can put the SD Card back into your device and the problem of write protection would be solved.

Please feel free to let me know if this tip was able to help you!

Regards

Well, getting it wet voided your warranty. Remove the battery and card...don't try to turn it on to avoid short circuits. You can try to bury it in some dry, uncooked rice for a couple of days. Water , especially salt water, is disastrous to cameras. The chance of it working are slim and even if it does for awhile, it may stop altogether later. Keep your fingers crossed.

It still amazes me how many people buy these cameras that are seemingly "waterproof" and eventually have the very same problems you are now having. The only true underwater camera is one in an underwater housing.

On the back of the camera, on the botton directional button, the one that looks like a cross, press the "down" button, which has a clock on it. When you take a picture, you have approximately 10 secs before the camera will blink for 2 secs and take a picture. You can cancel the timer using the same procedure.

Had same problem with older model Olympus.
Sensor activated when closing card cover was not being activated.
Simple solution was to tighten hinge screws and bend the hinge mechanism down slightly. This then activated the sensor
