SD card won't stay in the slot of my Panasonic Lumix DMC-SL80
is the lock on the card by chance. also depending on how old the camera is and how big the sd card is in gb. the lumix may not be able to handle that size of card, too many gb. My lumix would only accept up to 4 gb, so when I moved to 16 they did not work.
Sand in lens of nikon coolpix s205
Basically that will be extremely expensive, and probably not worth it. Resign yourself to the fact that the camera is fubar, and replace it with a newer model. Remember NOT to get sand in this one.

Help me import from nikon cool pix s210 to Wlndows Live Photo Gallery 2011....laptop not recognizing camera
The best way to transfer pictures from a camera with an SD memory card is to do it outside the camera. If your computer does not have an SD card reader built in, you can buy an external USB card reader for $20 or less on E-bay, Amazon, etc. Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it in the card reader. Your computer will treat the card reader and SD card just like it treats an external hard drive. Either drag-n-drop or copy and paste your pictures from the SD card file to a file on your hard drive. If after you have copied and backed up your files you want to reformat your SD card, replace it in the camera and format it in the camera, not in the computer. SD cards formatted in a computer will often not work in your camera because of slight differences in the formatting.
Why wont my nikon d3000 SLR download pictures to my computer ?
First of all, you upload pictures to your computer (you are putting pictures into the computer, not taking them out; downloading). Make sure that your computer's plug-n-play module recognizes that your camera is attached. Depending on if you have a Mac or PC, you may need to download and install a new driver for your computer from the Nikon website. I never connect a USB cable from my camera to the computer for uploads. Instead, I take the SD memory card out of the camera and insert it in the card reader on my iMac. If your computer does not have a built in card reader, many brands of external card readers are available at very low prices on line.
Broken LCD screen
Jean,
unies you are very skilled in electronics repair, special for modern equipment, you can't fix it yourself. But you could visit ifixit dot com, where they have many free tutorials about repairs. There will be some videos about replacing LCD screens on cameras too. When you have seen one or two, you still can decide if you want to give it a go.

My nikon coolpix s210 will not transfer my pictures to the computer
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa (
http://picasa.google.com ).
The picture has a delayed action
It's not possible to take a photo in a second, because the camera needs to get in focus the object you're taking picture of.You have a square on your display that indicates where the focus will be.With whatever function you use, you need to press the shutter button halfway and wait for the camera to focus on the object. When it's focused you will hear the click and the square will turn green. Now your pictures shouldn't be blurry.
