Erreur code : 6A00 What to do ?

It's most likely a little sponge on the very right side beside your ink. If you open the top, push your ink to the left then look to the VERY right...there is most likely a little spongy thing that if you push down (your hands WILL be black after this) and reset...it should work.

Canon PIXMA MX850 Multi Function

If it's leaking from the cartridge, take it out and replace it. May have a small hose around there somewhere, check that also.

I can not do anything on my printer. When I turn

That error code is not listed on the known error codes for that model. Something to try is to turn off the machine, unplug the power cord from the power supply for five minutes. Plug the cord back in and turn on the machine. Give that a try and see if that fixes your problem. Otherwise I would suggest contacting Canon customer support at 1-800-OKCANON. Take care & good luck!

Hello thanks for using fixya

Error 6000 actually a line feed error, with the problem originating from the timing disk film or the printer's logic board.
To solve this problem:

Check the timing disk film or Check the feed roller if is there any foreign body, remove it softly
Timing disk film is located at the left side of the printer, look at the picture given below to identify it.

Remove all the cartridges and then reinstall them after few minutes. Now, perform this:
  • Power Off the printer.
  • Unplug the printer's power cord, wait 5 seconds then replug the power cord in.
  • Hold the Power button for 6 Beeps.
  • Release the Power Button.

If there's no internal hardware problem, this will definitely fix your problem.

I get a 6A00 error

Hi,

The 6A00 is a Canon code for paper path jam. In the paper path a sensor is activated indicating paper jam so the printer will give off a 6A00.
The purge unit is stuck and not able to move freely. Move the purge unit back and forth for around 10 times and then restart the printer, it should work fine.
If you still get the error code then the purge unit needs replacement.

Hope this helps.

I have a Cannon MX 850 all in one. My Fax is not

REREINSTALL VIA A WIRELESS CONNECTION FIRST THEN ATTEMPT TO REFAX
Here are the recommended steps to connect to a wireless base router 1. Check and remove power from both your router and the DSL ROUTER/CABLE ROUTER MODEM 2. Wait one complete minute until applying power to modem then wait one minute before applying power to wireless router. 3. Ensure you have green lights across both devices, specifically, the recieved and sent lights. These same lights will tend to blink rapidly when there is active data, at times this will still blink, and a DNS error will prevent you from connecting to the internet. If this is the case, call your ISP Internet service provider 4. Check your authentication Security key on your router first, then check all your wireless devices to ensure they are on the same network name, key, and channel with the same type of encryption as the router 5. Start one device at a time and check for connectivity, if your still experiencing a problem, check the settings on all your wireless adapters, device drivers, internet browser settings, firewalls and proceed. 6. still have problems, connect a rj45 cable from the router directly to your computer to at least see if your wireless settings are bad or if the router may be bad. 7. Contact your ISP to determine if your receiving singal 8. Avoid using a splitter or parital power backup for yours routers 9. Still having problems, change your wireless router only after your ISP changes their faulty modem 10.Attempt the same process when setting up your new wireless router and or modem

No power

I don't have a manual for this printer but most of these type of printers have a fuse inside. First make sure you have AC power going to the printer by temporarily plugging a lamp into the power receptacle that you normally plug your printer into. Also, make sure the printer power cord is fully inserted into the printer power socket. If power is present, you will either have to unplug the printer and remove the bottom or side covers and look for a fuse or take the printer to a store that services them. If you replace the fuse, be sure and replace it with a fuse that has the same power ratings.

My printer is fine when

Be sure the glass is clean.
If the Canon is anything like HP and you are using the ADF there is a thin strip of glass on the left end of the flatbed. This is where scans are read when using the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder)
All it takes is a tiny speck on the glass to cause lines on the copy. Clean it by spraying a glass cleaner on a soft towel and wiping

Canon Pixma MP280 displays 'Windows

Hey, the p2 is a paper jam.

the windows does not recognize the device on the xp is a problem with the computer. you can attempt to correct it by uninstalling all USB devices from the computer and then letting the computer reinstall them on its own.

To do that, on your desktop or in the start menu right click on the My computer or computer and select manage. Then on the left side click on device manager, then on the right side in the bottom. See Universal Serial Bus controllers. open that.

Being uninstalling from the bottom and work your way upwards until the Universal serial bus controllers category dissapears. You may have to plug in the old type of mouse to the computer if you have a usb mouse it will stop functioning as we uninstall the usb ports.

to uninstall a device, right click on it and select uninstall. If asked, don't remove software.
ekse_34.jpg

once you have uninstalled all the usb ports, turn off the computer and unplug all the usb devices, unplug the power from the computer and hold down the power button for 20 seconds, this will drain any power remaining on the components of the computer.

Plug the power back in and turn the computer back on, let it start up normally, you will get a number of found new hardware notifications in the bottom right of your screen wait for them all to be installed and then start plugging in your usb devices one by one and wait for them to install.

the printer should be detected and work ok. As long as you clear the paper jam.
